  1. I know this has been covered but can't seem to find the post. The INIFINI Inverter Range (Green Machines). Who has Software/ Hardware that one can monitor them? I know one can just set the batteries ( Pylon) to Voltages but setting up with a Pi is better in the long run. Thanks in advance
  2. Thanks All for your input .. I've seen too many inverters POP due to miscalculations. and more so because of amps. but if you say this is the done thing.. Then so be it .. Thanks again.
  3. Hi All. Apologies if this has been asked before. I Tried searching for content but could not find it. Inv Spec: 4500w PV 120V Min DC 450V Max DC 18A Max Current. The last is the concern I have many installations but never have I pushed limits so close. would like your input, please. The subject inverter currently has 9 x 335w panels in a single string ( VOC 416 DC) The client requested 12 Panels ( VOC 555 single string too high so split string 277vDC) But the amps will now go up 17.7 A(Imp) Is this safe / recommended? Your Thoughts?
  4. Can any one assist .. i have never had this error before.BMS is communicating correctly. I have tried to get hold of supplier and support .. no responce . Thank You J.
  5. Good Day all. I need some quick input please. I generally research myself but I'm just checking my facts. MUST inverters do they have the capability to coms with Lithium batteries Inverter Type: MUST High Frequency On/Off Hybrid Solar Inverter PH1800 Plus Series (2-5.5KW) Battery Type : CFE 5100 S Online Monitoring capabilities ? Thanks in advance
  6. Thank You for info. Note the systems we are talking about are the individual with cash flow as a problem, not a bank balance problem. Think more the like of the commercial sector. So there electricity expenditure is like 10k-100k plus so they willing to put this money to good use. eg for next 5 years pay this but then out right own a system. I will make contact . Best Jay
  7. Hi fellow Solar Installers. So more and more people want solar , but they want to go the financing route. Any of you used any institutions for this and what is your PERSONAL experience. Some numbers/ names will be great. Yes I did tell them go to the bank. But they don't know who to call at the bank. so I'm trying to get a list of all banks as well. Maybe make this a sticky note.
  8. Thanks Riaan My thought process on the same track here. Many end users now challenging us as supply and installers as to why our pricing is not on par with the "new" kids on the block. Even the used or second life batteries .. if you cant determine the actual SOH, how would you know. There is the old school way .. by doing a physically load test cycle but that takes time.. and most clients not going to "pay" for a pre install service Nor would the supplier allow you to test prior to sale .. Next big scam is on our hands here. I just thought maybe someone has a solution. But now you say the counter can be reset. Oh no.
  9. I did try and search to see if this has been a topic of discussion , so if there is and I did not see .. I apologize ..pls send me link if not then please read on. So I've been in the industry for a few years now and I've seen "installers" come and go and new ones pop up and all but here is a new little thing that has started rearing its head. There are people selling "used" Lithium batteries as new .. .. Neatly packaged and all. So .. How do we really now the Cycle life of a lithium pack. are there software / hardware available to do this. here are some variables: 1. Battery with Compatible BMS plugged into an Inverter that can "read" the count of cycles including SOH 2. Battery that does not have BMS or not compatible with inverter to give this info. So my question is. is there such a device/software that one could use to determine the age/status and the SOH of the battery May even pull a log of cycle data. Thanks J
  10. Just some feedback. i ended up installing a UPS .. the only thing i could do , Thanks again for your advice.
  11. @BeylieI tried the Part 1.. no go.. ill try part 2 tomo..let you know. Shot for assistance.
  12. I have now tried everything bar changing the inverter. I might install a online UPS for the one appliance.
  13. CEF. Finally Managed to get the time to install. Ok so I have logged into inverter via PV MASTER ( just to test that i can see it on the network. all good) now running v2.5 and error comes up . Time out. Goodwe inverter detected in LAN but not respond to Id Command or there is another session.... No other sessions open.. its almost like its timeing out .. i know when i used my phone it took a while to recognise inverter. can a person adjust the time to establish connection.. Ta
