@HubbleLithium According to the sales data the Hubble AM-2 is a 5.5kWh 51V 100Ah battery: Nominal Voltage V x Rated Capacity Ah = Wh 51V x 100Ah = 5100Wh or 5.1kWh Q1. What is the "5HR" mean in "Rated Capacity 5HR"? A. See http://support.rollsbattery.com/en/support/solutions/articles/216766-what-is-amp-hour-capacity- Ah is normally determined over 20 hours, unless otherwise specified. For AM-2, 100Ah / 5hr or 20A continuous for 5 hours - which compared to Lead Acid is very good. Lead Acid batteries suffer from "Peukert Effect". Lithium batteries suffer much, much less - See https://battlebornbatteries.com/peukert-effect/ Q2. Is…

Hi All, I know battery cable length has been discussed but I need to triple check. I want to connect my second Hubble AM2 to my Sunsynk inverter. Positive and negative cable from inverter to battery disconnect same length. Positive from battery disconnect to first battery 125cm Negative from battery disconnect to second battery 180cm Negative and positive between batteries 53cm Sorry for sounding absolutely stupid, cable length need to be the same length, is it the cables between the batteries or the total length of the positive and the total length of the negative ? Thanks in advance.

The Sunsynk SUNBAT 5.32 kWh battery claims the following warranty conditions: 6000 Cycles @ 80% DOD / 25ºC / 0.5C, 60% EOL. Does this mean that under ideal laboratory conditions, they measures 6000 cycles under these specific parameters, at a constant rate of discharge of 50% (2.66 kW)? Does it mean that every time I discharge it faster than at 0.5C, the number of 'guaranteed' cycles drops further below 6000? Please correct me if I am making any wrong conclusions. I am aware it is all relative because actual battery discharge rate and depth varies every day, within the limits of the BMS. However I am trying to compare this battery to the HUBBLE AM-5, whic…

Hi All, My Hubble dropped for the second time from 30% to 0%. The first time I let it go, but now the second time I'm getting concerned. Has anyone else have this issue? See my graphs attached. Load shedding started at 6pm, then the discharge started. I'm not too happy with this Hubble battery. (I've had the state of charge % showing wrong on the inverter. It's still showing wrong when I directly connect the battery BMS to the inverter, but via their CloudLink box it seems to work, but then the battery temperature is -100°C. )

Hello, I am in conversation with Hubble about doing a firmware update to overcome different SOC between two AM-5 batteries connected in parallel. In the process they have warned me that using the Solarman Smart monitoring app (connected via wireless to my Deye inverter) might void my battery warranty. This seems a little off to me. Thoughts?

I have a DEYE 5kW inverter that is connected to 2 x X100 Hubble batteries. I have an ethernet cable connected between the inverter and the master battery and another one between the master and slave battery. Can this setup actually communicate between the battery BMS and the inverter or must the setting be for voltage based settings? I am reading mixed documents that seem to state that there is no CAN or 485 communication possible.

About 18 months ago I installed 2 Hubble AM-2 batteries coupled to an 8Kw Deye inverter with 6 Kw panels on the roof with a COC for those that might bring this up. Batteries were never drained below 20% capacity. A couple of months after the installation when everything was working well, I recommended these batteries to my brother who bought five units. A work colleague also bought five units. I can report the following. After 18 months both my batteries have failed with a defective cell. For my brother 4 out of his 5 batteries have failed. For my work colleague 3 out of his 5 batteries have failed. It all starts with a call out fee of R500 for the electrician, who did th…

Hi Community. For those with 8KW Sunsynk & Deye inverters you can now graph all data with your RIOT Cloudlink by simply plugging in a RJ45 cable into the RIOT MUL port and configuring the RIOT RS485 to Deye. Note that some older RIOT units might not support the graphing. Ensure you have version 3.0 of the firmware on your Cloudlink device. If you do not have this yet, you will have it by next week as we're slowly rolling this out over the next week to everyone. You will then automatically get a upgraded dashboard. Ensure you set the RIOT as per below if you have Verision 3.0. You can now remote console into your RIOT Cloudlink with the portal. We …

I've been trying to get my Riot Cloudlink up and running but the inverter & PV info doesn't show. I checked all connections and they're fine. I contacted Hubble Support who suggested upgrading the firmware on my one battery because it was old and that's where the fun starts. The update doesn't go through despite trying the old and new firmware versions. I'm using the cable from Solar Assistant. Are there settings on the SunSynk I should be using while trying this firmware update? Has anyone run into a similar problem? System: 1x Inverter: SunSynk 5.5 KW (M3.3.8.0 / S0.5.1.3 / CE4.2.4 1x Riot Cloudlink: partially online (see pic below) 1x Master Batter…

Afternoon all In November 2022 I purchased 2X Hubble AM-2 120AH Batteries, these have been working perfectly since. In June i purchased another 2 AM-2 120AH batteries which were installed yesterday, exact same model. Now with the new firmware they have all been downgraded to 100ah, but the unit clearly stipulates that its 120AH. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello Community, The RIOT Cloudlink is causing a stir in the market currently and we were hoping to announce in the next month more about it, however we have been inundated with questions and we have been asked to release a sneak preview for discussion. WHAT IS RIOT RIOT Systems with Hubble Lithium have developed a A.I. comms device that enables the Hubble range of Lithium batteries to have full CAN Bus and Cloud monitoring capability. The RIOT device is an optional addon to the Hubble X and AM range of products and will allow your Hubble to integrate with almost any CAN bus Inverter including SMA, Victron, Growatt, GoodWE, Sunsynk, D…

Hi, I tried to email and call Hubble, but nobody I spoke to knows who manufactures the cells in the AM-5 battery. The only confirmation I got was that they are made in China. Have anybody here by chance opened a AM-5 and seen a "by made"| or knows for sure which cells they use? I'm planning on buying the AM-5 either way, this is more to settle my own curiosity.

Hello everybody😁 - We just recently had our installation finished with a Deye 12kW3ph inverter and 4 x Hubble Lithium AM2 Batteries. The folks that did the installation used the AM2 Ver2.0 Manual for the installation, this specifies Bulk/Equalisation Charge 53.8V , and Float Charge 53.8V I noticed that the batteries have a sticker on the side which has different settings, Equalized Voltage 53.6V , and float voltage 52.6V. So, I went along to the website which confirmed that the AM2 Ver2.0 Manual settings are the right ones - Bulk/Equalisation Charge 53.8V , and Float Charge 53.8V. Now that I had conflicting information, I decided to contact Hubble Tec…

Trust that someone perhaps has more insight. My system in general works well. However the permanent Battery discharge by the Inverter just doesn't seem right. The system has been in operation since beginning August 2021. I have since contacted both Growatt and Hubble about this issue and they either don't know or don't want to understand the issue. As soon as my battery is 100% fully charged, it immediately kicks into a discharge, which seems to be the power needed to run the Inverter. The discharge is a round 1% per hour. At 94% the Inverter algorithm then restarts the charge mode and it charges back to 100%. Now if there was no sun that would be normal but thi…
