  1. I had EV tubes installed yesterday, they finished late so no production from the EV tubes + it rained lekker here late afternoon. However it 11:45 and I already have 55 degrees in the geyser. I'm feeling good! In hindsight though, I could have installed this myself, it was actually rather simple, you just have to have the right tools, and a couple for hours, also nothing fancy.

  2. Thanks for this I will investigate but would much rather get my current installation working as I have enough expensive paper weights.

  3. Unfortunately, it could be chronic under-charging of the battery, due to the premature charge bug. Being declared full at 10 am at 1.2 kW sounds like they're not getting much charge. Unfortunately, there is no patched firmware for the lower power models in your series. I had hoped that smaller models were immune to the charge bugs, but it seems that they may not be. Unfortunately, your batteries may be damaged from this. You need to see the battery voltage stay near the absorb / CV voltage while the current gradually drops to about a fifth of the maximum charge current (for a 30

    AXPERT 5KVA Firmware

The MKS II 5k is a 450 V MPPT model, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not aware of any firmware update files for any of those models, so there is no patched firmware. If you can find a firmware update file for your model, then Weber and I can patch fixes for the charge bugs. Edit: there is a small chance it uses the same firmware as other models, and those firmwares might be available for patching, or already be patched. What main firmware does it come with at present, or haven't you bought one as yet?

  5. Look at Solis inverters. Addition: When I first looked at your post my PC truncated it to "Solar power a granny...."

    Good Batteries

The Pylons are approved to be used with the following inverters: Goodwe, Victron and Voltronic. There are some other but they have not made it to our shores. When it is operating with a Voltronic product (either an Infinisolar or an Axpert) there is no communication between inverter and the BMS. @Manie's ICC has been approved as an interface between Voltronic products and Pylontech. This helps as you can set the battery to discharge according to SOC rather than voltage.

  7. Hi Ingo, I was looking for the same a while back and could not find anything public. The best guy to ask is @plonkster, he might know if something like that is available within the company. If there is, I would also be interested in getting a copy.

  8. Here is the manual: http://www.opti-solar.com/Download/User Manual/SP Brilliant user manual.pdf I am pretty sure this is a Voltronic product, Please visit this Site , download the windows version, or if you have a PI you can download the Pi version. After that just follow the instructions and sent a mail with the Machine code to the e-mail supplied. They will sent you a trial code, so you can test if it works with your inverter before you buy it. I think the protocol would be the same as the one used for the Axperts.
