  1. 2-years ago, I started the lengthy process of going completely OFF-GRID on my residential water supply at my home in StHelena Bay, on the West Coast of the Western Cape. The property is situated +-150-200m from the beach. I was able to find water at approximately 8m. SALTWATER INTRUSION, gives me a salt content of around 1300ppm, which fluctuates slightly with tidal movement. I'm running a normal 0,75kw well-point pump, supplying the raw water to my treatment equipment in the garage. The raw water is fed through pressure control and safety valves, through a 3-stage filterset, UV ster

  2. On the weekend @Carl came round with his various meters and we had a look at the way the power behaves at my house with my hybrid inverter and panels working. One interest thing that puzzled was unbalanced power when my neutral/live were measured together at my council connection. We were very confused why we were seeing this and why the amount of imbalance was varying. But eventually I mentioned that my electrician had tied neutral to earth on the output side of my hybrid inverter. He was quite sure this was correct. For me this is correct when the inverter is isolated from t

    Axpert king vs Infini

For the Infini 5K Plus, it's about 125W just to keep the box running. Most of my experience is based on running it in the off-grid mode: During the day, the idle consumption is being covered from PV. Overnight it draws this from the battery. If the grid is available, Infini draws 2W from it. Even if you do bypass, so the loads are fed from the grid, there's still about 25W draw from the battery. Long story short, Infini needs a decent PV array and huge batteries in order to serve you well. Depending on the use case a GoodWe hybrid might be a better alternative, for example

  5. That's a cool setup! But is it really wise to return the brine back to the borehole? That way it's increasing the salinity of the water in the borehole... or am I missing something?

  6. I am Adnan from Pakistn. I am using Aerox 5.2 for the last two months and it really is a mystery to me. as I could not find any voltronics or mpp solar similar models. Yes it can run battery less with or without feeding to grid. It is not a double conversion like king but is a hybrid inverter. I opened mine to take a look inside. It is in warrenty so was not able to take the cover apart. Kindly Coulomb and other try to figure out what this thing is and is it a voltronics made unit. U1 is 72.10 U2 is 01.22 U3 is 88.88

  8. It's plug and play. You already have battery disconnects and fuse, right? It's far simpler than you think, and you literally can't muck it up.
