  1. Dear Everyone I hope my post finds you well. The Powerforum Store is open! Please do find our attached price guide and contact details attached. We are fully able to assist with installations great and small to the highest standards and quality. We would love your support as it very much assists us with the upkeep of this great community. Thank you all! Please note the price guide is a live document and is changed often to provide you with the best costings. Sincerely Jason Back (Energy) Pwer Forum Store Price List V2.pdf

  2. Yeah if your load is only 800w and the Battery is full the panels will only deliver 800w. Yes ICC can send MQTT to Home Assistant. You can configure your HA broker settings in ICC under the inverter MQTT tab. Then you can scan for available topics using MQTT FX. You're welcome, I'm hoping other members with more experience on how to configure your inverter for optimal performance will respond soon. Very neat install by the way! I watched the time lapse video on YouTube.

    Hybrid Inverter Question

Yes. If you set the inverter to limited to home mode, excess PV will go to loads before the inverter. I have the 8kw sunsynk inverter and it will do this with excess PV up to the total max 8kw that the inverter can put out.

  4. True about the efficiency, but R2500 (gas) and installation vs R11000 (solar electric. We have lot of overcast days and they are paying tenants so "deal with it" will likely not go well. If it was just me, sure, my SO.. maybe... Paying tenants nah) and installation does make a difference. It also means I can safely have a smaller system without needing to worry that two 2kW elements kick in at the same time and sends the system belly up. To the other poster chastising me on my units, sorry, it came out as a flood of text but I'm sure you yourself understand the concepts just as we

    Sunsynk 8kW

Yeah, microinverters should do the trick

    Sunsynk 8kW

@AchmatGrid was off for over 12 hours, no restarts. As soon as I switched the grid back on it wasn't even 20minutes before the aux cut out the first time. So it is definitely related to the grid connection.

  7. I agree with gbyleveld to find correct neutral for each live. Another easy method is if you have a Amp meter (clamp type) than plug in something like a small heater and measure its current if its say 8A on live find the neutral that measures 8A.

  8. I went through this recently as I changed my whole DB board when installing my new solar system (the old db was a post 70’s antique). What I did was identify and mark all the live wires (switching off each cb and checking what’s affected in the house). You do this, being careful, while the mains is still on. I then went and switched off power by the feed going to the house. Once I did that, I made sure that each live had a device attached at the other end (halogen light or hairdryer), in its switched on state in order to give a low impedance load at the other end. I then removed all

    Sunsynk Inverter Query

My solution to the Neutral-Earth bond in the OHM 8 kW inverter. Decided to mount the power relay inside the inverter, rather than in the DB (as suggested by @Vassen). Appears to be working well with no voltage potential between Neutral and Earth in either grid-tied or off-grid modes. Took the signal from the Grid input of the inverter. This version of the Deye / SunSynk / Ingwe / OHM / Sol-Ark / etc. etc., does not have the ATS 240 pins, nor the ability to upgrade the software (not anywhere I can find that is). This lack of obvious software support for the various models (all

  11. Hi These were the settings received from the supplier. Basically 51.5 and 51.6. Forget about the SOC on the inverter/watchpower With those settings the physical charge status lights on the batteries shows full After day 3 and still no PV dips. By 1330 my batteries are fully charged ready to work throughout the night. So far very happy.
