  1. Evening Folks After seeing a post about thingwala and getting your geyser connected to the internet, I purchased a geyserwala connect. The install was easy enough after watching the install video, my biggest delay was that the data cable was a little short, the installers of my solar geyser glued it to the wall. The Wi-Fi connects easy enough, but just be aware, if your IP addresses does not start with 192.168.x.x, you will need to set the IP in manually on the geyserwala. Once online and the online token was installed the geyserwala worked flawlessly, I set in the setpoint temperatures and setup the timers and could not be happier. The service was awesome. If you looking to future proof your geyserwise unit, geyserwala connect is the way to go.
  2. Hi Folks, I would just like to inquire I have a 5kw freedom battery and I would like to set it up to charge during the day, and then to power the house in the evenings until the battery falls to 60 percent leaving 40 percent for load shedding. Then I only want the battery to charge again from the sun the next morning. Is this possible if so what settings must I change in the system mode page and the battery setup pages. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks for all the feedback. Apparently exactly that, spoke to the installer and he said he confirmed that it will switch off when there is no sun.
  4. Hi Folks please could I ask if it seems right that my sunsynk inverter (grid tied only no batteries)switches off when the sun sets and switches back on when the sun rises. Their are no error messages the AC light stays illuminated, but the DC and normal light goes off. The LCD on/off button also changes to off. In the morning DC and normal light switch on again , and works 100 percent during the day. Also when it switches off in the evening it stops monitoring grid power usage?? (LCD display stays on). Sort of makes sense, was just wondering if anyone else with grid tied systems experience the same. Thank folks
