    Thanks! These look good.

If you've got space and a bit more budget, I have one of these and love the size, volume and efficiency https://www.incredible.co.za/bosch-619l-fridge-freezer-stainless-steel-kgn86ci30z

We'll definitely use a pool blanket. The pool will also be hotter than the outside soil!
I was thinking of placing it in the pool wall that supports the sides/fibreglass!

    HI
We're going to be building a pool and I was wondering if it doesn't make sense to use isoboard/foam on the floor and walls to help insulate it and keep it warmer for longer.
    See here https://isoboard.com/insulation/cavity-wall/

Surely this will help keep the heat in the pool? Does anyone have any experience on this?

    1. When in doubt, bump up the capacity. As you have high ceilings, yes, go for 12000BTU in the smaller rooms.
    2. I would move it down on your map, more towards to door away from the seating area. You also don't want the aircon above a TV. They can leak water and pieces of ice sometimes. That will kill a TV very fast.

A Victron balancer would be in the region of 1K.  The person in the best position to answer that question would be Steve from the Powerforumstore, he knows what works and what doesn't, and what cost-effective hacks can be done instead of using a balancer (like swopping the two batteries around, for example).

It seems there are some areas where a grid tied is still not understood not withstanding the long topic about a grid tied tripping or not.
A Sunsynk 8kw can only generate 35A as a maximum to feed to the grid(230V AC). It cannot feed 63A. This also happens to be the maximum feed through if one runs on bypass. For safety one can lower this MCB to the actual maximum current of the 5kw unit when running as a grid tied only.
From other comments it seems like they don't want these units to be loaded to 100% of their actual output.
It I had to select a MBC for the input/output on a Synsynk I will also use a 32A MCB.
For sure not an isolator or 63A.

a  grid tied inverter as in your case would need a surge protector and a 32 amp double pole circuit breaker  ( total cost about R400 ) and it will be three wires live, neutral and ground, a very simple connection to your db
yes, legally any time you make a change, you should have a coc, you would have to check with a local electrician on costs
