Anyone interested in these cells must be aware that they are way more dangerous than the common LiFePo4 cells
NMC chemistry is widely know for their thermal runaway characteristics - especially the pouch cell format.
Just my opinion...Google is your friend.

Indeed like any lithium chemistry if you dont look after them they wont look after you . These are Prismatic cells for reference ..

What is the voltage of these modules and weight? Do they have built in BMS? Wonder, if they can be used as a secondary car battery - camping, etc.

They are 6s config so 22.2v
some modules do have a Board installed roughly 50% have pass through cables and the other have pcb boards installed .
The module is super light coming in at 12Kg .
so thats almost 5Kwh for 24Kg weight .

  8. Built a Battery as one of my first in Nov 2015 and installed . 10Kwh
Been cycling to 80% sometimes 90% since then running an Orion BMS (hate them )
unknown cycles will check when i get around to the client this year .

Cells are Sinopoly .!  My inception back when Elon first came out with his cleverness i decided to give it and try and have not looked back since .
Now designed our own BMS systems  that are much easier to work with ...

    Hi Zimnismoboy34,

At the time of publish it was relevant, however if Voltronic wants to continue with the protocol they are free to do it. We can't dictate to them, they could not provide us with the fixes required back then and we could not wait for months. We decided to move on with the protocol and impliment CANbus as it's a better protocol than modbus. Modbus is prone to interference and is not a error correcting protocol. We also have full control of our own protocol instead on waiting on a 3rd party. You're welcome to impliement the LIB protocol with them if you choose.

    All the best.

Thanks Very much agree with you the rs485 is horrible and cumbersome very counter intuitive .
The canbus how ever is much better . What do hubble lithium batteries use for battery to battery communication ?

    Hi Coulomb,

We dropped the LIB protocol as Axpert decided to drop the LIB protocol. From what we understand they are looking at CANbus. We are not sure when or if they will impliment CAN bus. However you can see on the Axpert MAX documentaiton they mention CANbus, but its not active yet.

We decided to only support CAN bus ourselfes as modbus is too unstable. All our models now have CANbus and works with any CANbus inverter.

The ICC still works with Hubble for Axpert.

I think this information is rather misleading . Voltronic have not dropped the Lib protocol and their latest communication states that its still in use . The latest firmware version reflects that the Lib protocol is still present in the Menu on the Axpert King .image.png.e4bc523dd32d1dfafc934116c41c5cea.png
