  1. @Coulomb No AC on the unit running offgrid . All the icons on the display flash . There is no warning just the red light and the fans start turning slowly . This happens about every 20 seconds . It seems if it is trying to restart about every 20 seconds .Yes it is using .98 amp even while switched off . It is running for 7 months after repairs , the inverter was never switched off . I did supply AC to the unit to test . With AC on the red light , flashing icons and fans stop but the Battery and AC icon stays on when switched off. I opened the unit and every looks normal . I desided to leave it in place and run it until it fails . For the rest all functions 100% . Thanks for your response . Will inform you if something happens .
  2. This Axpert 5kw does not switch off complete when the rockerswitch is switched . We had a lightning strike year before last . Damage to the Inverter was repaired so the inverter would become a spare unit . After repairs the inveter was fine and never replaced . Today I wanted to switch it off . The solar input was off. The inverter would not switch off . The rocker switch is ok . Only the battery icon is on the display . After 20 seconds the fans start running , the display flashes and the warning light lights up for a few seconds . This just keep on repeating . The only way to switch off is to disconnect the battery . Any ideas . Will it cause damage if not attended to .
  3. @ Jesse Hi my 5Kva unit was made in 2015 and the 1Kva unit was made 2018/01 . No problems to fit the board .
  4. @ Jesse it is supplied with board with the Rj45 female connection (no USB) .The board on the right is the board that was taken out to fit the new board and cable .
  5. @Jesse . Com's board supplied with the remote on the left with a 6 meter cable included . Like Coulomb suggested a laptop with watch power can be connected to your phone by Any desk if you have wifi .
  6. Thanks for info on Banggood . I was scared because of their low prices , but if they use Buffalo international logistics I will try them some time .
  7. @Jesse . My remote was installed on a 5kw unit . I have replaced that with ICC because I neaded ICC for Lithium batteries . The remote is now installed on a 1kw unit and working fine . I must admit ICC is nice to have .
  8. @ Jesse the remote unit that is available for the Axpert is supplied with a 6 meter cable and a new com board to fit the unit . It can only do what the display on the Axpert can do . They are available at Laptop Direct
  9. I have bought equipment a couple of times from Racergadgets SA . Buffalo international logistics handled the delivery and duties . They would phone and request the duties to be paid into their account and not later than 2 days you get the delevery . Orders from China , USA with delivery cost same as local . From order date to delivery at your gate about 21 days . Unfortunately you can't get some equipment from them .
  10. Thanks for your responses .
  11. Has anybody ordered from AliExpress . How is the service . Is the delivery safe . Thanks
  12. Hi I run a 5kw Axpert with 3 x 3000 Pylon offgrid with 18 x 250 watt solarpanels . The settings is 1. Sol 2. Should be 37 A per battery . I suggest to set to Max wat your 6 panels can deliver 5. User 12. 46 volt 13. 50 Volt 16. SNU (to allow charging from generator ) 26. 52.5 Volt 27. 52.0 Volt 29. 46 Volt Running for 5 months no problems .
  13. @vicroy Also had a problem with com's bord . The inverter was hit by lightning . The new inverter only had a USB connection and I needed a connection for my remote display . Removed the com's board from the old inverter and fitted it to the new inverter . Hope this info can help you .
  14. @Nellis.Theron I run 1 Axpert 5kw with 3*3000 Pylontech batteries . Making use of ICC with the Pylontech cable they make . Centurion solar did the programming of the Pi . Setting no 13 was set at 50 by them . I run offgrid and had no problems so far . I can be wrong but 51 volt for a 15 cell Lithuim battery is bit high to change back to grid . a 2000 watt load will pul the voltage below 51 volt if there is no or low Solar input and the inverter will switched back to the grid . Even setting 29 at 47.5 is high . The battery low warning will start at 49.5 . which is problematic . The battery voltage will have to rise to 51.5 v before the alarm resets . 29 was also set lower by ICC installers .
  15. @Coulomb Am I correct to say this Axpert is fitted with a PWM charge controller . The 36Vdc min volt and 105 Vdc max volts .
  16. @ Oros good information . We are all used to the 145 volt spec . Thanks
  17. Last year Desember it happens to us . Lost the inverter also . I fitted Brad harrison connectors on the solarpanels . During storms I disconnect and hope for the best .
  18. That is correct the 220 v to the geyser only goes through the 30 Amp relay . Sorry if the drawing is not clear . 220 v Supply for the geyser from the right . Sonoff separate supply from left . Relay uses 0.9 amp . Son off should last a long time .
  19. I use 2 of these relays for live and neutral . The 220 to 12 vdc power supply is a unit that was lying in the bin , use The Son off basic , works fine .
  20. @ Oros if you do get to know why the max solar volts is 115 VDC please share with us . Thanks .
  21. Try to get hold of a damaged Jo Jo tank at a good price and make a mould .
  22. Hi Jason I have done some fibreglass repaires and body repairs on GSM sports cars . I had to learn because no panelbeater is willing to do this . It is not very difficult but takes some time and patience . IF you want to make a new item you nead to make a mould like Jacko mentioned . The cost of mould , fibreglass matting , resin , hardener , releasing agent , and cleaning material you are better off to buy the item unless your are planning to make a lot of these items . The amount of resin you mix depends on what you can apply in a time frame . Drying time is normally 20 minutes . The product you make consists of a few layers of matting and resin depending how thickness you want . Make something small and deside for yourself . a Real stickey job .
  23. @ Coulomb I have a none 64 volt unit that was supplied by Mecer with equalisation function .
  24. Started 2013 with 200 watt panel , 2 * Deltec 105ah batteries , 20 A PWM charge controller and 600 watt inverter . Today we are offgrid and no loadsheading since 2015 . Then whenever the power does go off we get a SMS . Is your power off ???
  25. Sorry no idea where you will get a kit with solenoid valve included .
