why is nobody saying anything about five star brand lithium batteries 🤷 something im missing possibly

I don’t know much about fivestar brand and see they offer 20kw lithium batteries for under 40k compared to other known to me brands which are double the price. just asking if anybody has anything they could say around the brand that could either re assure me or sway me away. Hi All I would appreciate some assistance My house is 3 phase but I’ve always only use 1 phase for most of the circuit breakers through a 7.2 kw synapse / axpert inverter in parallel. With a 20k battery bank 5kw x 4. Both inverters blew this weekend and I’ve decided to get a 12kw deye 3 phase inverter and properly load balance the phases. My question is how do I correctly wire the 3 phase inverter via the sub db board with changeover etc back to my current db board. I’m used to only 1 phase positive & neutral setup so not sure how to correctly wire the 3 phases into changeover etc. The sub db I’m going to use is this below. Hi guys im trying to parallel my new synapse 7.2 and my older synapse 7.2 ive noticed firmware is different which is why I think they don’t communicate properly. one that is SL shows input if 230 but nothing output and also won’t charge etc batteries. 1. where would I find the software to download pls and 2. how would I install the software the newer 7.2 has version 69.05 the older 7.2 has version 45.07 image of what happens attached Appreciate your help and thanks

Hi I purchased a new 4.8kw from esquire When connecting to my synapse 7.2kw inverter which is a voltronic the inverter sees the battery but cannot generate any power. Pls advise what I should do differently ? I have a battery bank with 4 x Hubble and they work fine, when trying to use just the TSP battery it won't work. Regards Doron

Hi All problem was solved by connecting the 4 panels in series. all sorted thanks

Thanks Guys. Makes sense. Yes I only have 4 panels on the roof as the setup is more of a backup system running 4 x 4.8kw lithium’s . man I correct in assuming then I’m going to require more panels to up the voltage from the pv ?

Hi Guys. I recently changed from my older Mecer 5kw axpert inverter to the new synapse 7.2m+ . all working nicely except for some reason my PV doesn’t actually generate watts or show them. using either WatchPower or solarassist I can see the PV volts over 80 but no watts. if I activate SBU mode or trip the grid I see watts for a few seconds then back to 0 again. Therefore only batteries provide power and not the PV… see picture. any ideas what could be causing this ?

Hi, yes it works great I must admit.. just the email alerts would be a great addition indeed. maybe somebody could assist with development. it shouldn't be too difficult as its cloud based anyway.

Hi Guys, does any body know if either solar assist or icc do email notifications... I downloaded solar assist and installed nice and easily to my raspberry pi, however nowhere am I able to get notifications when line fails for example... hence I still use a old laptop and watchtower for that. would be great to just use the rasberry pi. thanks

I recently upgraded from my axpert 5kw to the new axpert / synapse 7.2+. ive connected the WiFi module that comes build into the 7.2. my question is how to get WatchPower app or different to send me a email when power changes etc. before I used a laptop and usb permanently connected with WatchPower program running … however these inverters have built in WiFi but I don’t see any place to configure … is there other software I could Connect

thanks. i will get a Pi 3B+ then. how would i go about installing a OS/ or what i the recommended OS to be installed onto the Pi. i want to be able to monitor the inverter to see voltage, what the PV is generating etc. and all this through a remote log in like any desk or some other form.

I’ve been reading about the raspberry pi and wanted to install one to my inverter to be able to remove the laptop I have running 24/7 with the watchpower program running. what is the recommended model of the pi I should get and how would I go about setup. do I just install windows on it, is this possible or is there some other form of os ? appreciate your assistance

Hi all isit bad for my 5kva 5000 watt to be going over it’s limit. Ie ive enables the overload bypass. With winter and having to use oil heaters etc I’m pushing over 5000 in the evenings... obviously should eskom start their load shedding escapade again I would switch these heaters off. just not sure if it’s safe to leave the inverter beeping whilst in overload bypass mode ? thanks

@Tacet Makes allot of sense. no matter what i did anything over 2.5KW and the inverter would trip. clearly your above explains why. i opted to move over to 1 Loech 48v 100AH i had also which on its on (non parallel) works perfectly under the larger load. The 2 x ESM48100A1's ill parallel and use on another site of mine. any feedback from others that have used the Leoch 48v 100AH batteries. they have a very nice built in BMS etc.

HI, thanks for reply. They light up inverter. if i switch off eskom, i get around 4 hours 2 mins on a average of 1100 watt load. so they definitely hold charge... the strange this is just when i try and use a air fryer or something the inverter then dies... i have changed various voltage settings... I'm not sure what i should be using. and i don't really understand the difference on voltage etc. when using y 4 x 100AH AGM, i can use air fryers etc. really appreciate the help.

hi please help me. are these batteries lithium and can they be used in house hold with a 5kw inverter ? what settings must they be programmed into a mecer / expert 5kva ? i can't seem to get the inverter to work properly with this battery. ESM-48100A!
