Thanks Coulomb!!

Axpert - strange behaviour (Potential MPPT issue)
I have purchased a new Axpert, but the firmware on it is apparently 72.02. Can I downgrade it to the same ver 72.00 that I upgraded my current king to on 16/03/2023? I want to parallel the 2 and need the verslons to be the same. Would anyone know if there was major changes from 72.00 to 72.02?

Morning all Does anyone have firmware 72.02 available for the Axpert King 5Kw? I need the dsp.hex file

Unfortunately SMH does not show my inverter temp. Nor do they show the PV Volts. I did ask them how to get it on the graph but their super intelligent support reply was that the PV Volts is the green section!!! I have contacted Manie to revert back to ICC, as there I remember I could add the voltage, temp or any parameter to the graphs, which does not seem to be the case in SMH. However, after changing my battery float, bulk charge etc voltages to the same as your setup 3 days ago I have not had one freeze yet. As you can see from the graph below (yesterday) it is quite stable. At this stage I am more than happy to keep it as it is until the problem surface again. It does however beg the question if the freeze is actually firmware related or setting related.................. Thanks for the help and info !!!

Thanks for all the settings info Phillip. The old ICC still rocks over SMH !! I did update to ver 72 last night. My 12x340w panels are set up in clusters of 3. My voltage does frequently go to above 115v and up to 120v, even under low load as per attached screenshot just taken.

Phillip Assume the low voltage, max volt is 145v. Can you please sent me your settings on Bulk Charging, Float charging, back to Charge, Back to Discharge and Bat cut-off voltage. Maybe it is something there that is not correct

Verified. Will flash to 72.00 tonight..... 😞

I did verify that the firmware is now 71.94

i am at Kranspoort, Mpumalanga. No cloud cover for the day 😞

Updated my Axpert King to 71.94 last night, hoping the freeze would disappear. Sadly, today at 13h45 it reappeared for no apparent reason!!! 😞 I REALLY do not know what else to do with this irritating issue

Hi Coulomb Ssorry for not replying earlier, long weekend in SA 🙂 Yes I do (Feb2020 purchase). It is a Voltex King 5KVA, not sure what firmware is on it. Will have a look tonight to see if I can find it.

Pipes You are right, it does drop the pv watts to match the current load. In the above case however it drops to zero watts and never recovers unless with manual intervention or when the MPPT resets that night.

P1000 The PV and battery wires does not share a conduit, they are quite separate from each other. If I have a look at the battery volts it was at 54.1v when the pvWatts drop occurred.

Coulomb Sorry, it only appeared like that because I cropped the watts below 1000. Below is the complete graph for the day. When the watts dropped to zero the volts was actually at 95.1 at that point. The input watts stayed at zero while the volts continues to appear, up to 120.2v at the moment I disconnected the panels at 13h02. At 13h10 I reconnected it when the voltage was also zero. Thereafter it continued normally until sunset. Not sure why the watts fall away but the voltage remains, does not make sense.

Pipes Just had a trip around 12h00 😞 I was able to reset it though with my boer-maak-n-plan device 🤠 I constructed a graph showing the values at the trip time. The volts was at 95.1 and the watts at 3159w. Not sure what it means, does not seem to drop that low, unless it is in the 10 minute between measure zone.
