  1. Makes sense. IT PSU's on the devices are the oldest in the room.
  2. It is very strange. It seems to be happening with older equipment eg 6 year old dell and a five year old switch with redundant power supplies.
  3. Hi Yes. Two 10kw sunsynk batteries with an 8kw inverter drawing a load of 3kw+-
  4. I have gor it spread between two breakered circuits with other devices sharing those breakers with no problems.
  5. Thats what I was thinking. First it was a dell server and now a cisco switch has also started these shenanigans. I wonder if solarman dongle has snmp capabilities to chart power.
  6. Hi All With all the load-shedding and the need for long battery life, we opted against ups for our data centre and went the inverter route. We have been running perfectly fine but recently we have had issues with power as the only transformer left in our area is very problematic. When we have an outage everything stays up except for one machine that reboots. This has now spread to a Cisco switch also in the same room feeding from the same DB. Note there is only one source of power and it comes from the inverter to the room. This morning we had such an instance and the only information I got from the electrical chaps is we had an overvoltage in the area. I am completely stumped as to what is causing this. If wverything went down I'd say yes its the inverter but only one/two devices ? Please help
  7. Very simple. U have a separate dedicated circuit with a usage meter on there that you use during declaration btw using Crypto rigs on battery not feasible but solar definitely.
  8. Crypto mining on nonessential grid as I export PV to CT and no futher excess Solar is pushed to my mining equipment. I must admit I need more panels but have run out on my north Northwest facing roof. So I will have to add panels on the East facing roof. just not sure if it is worth it.
  9. Hi All I have a Deye inverter 8kw with 12 x 370w panels and a 2.4 kw Dyness battery. I use the panels to reduce the cost of my Crypto mining farm and have two circuits one non - critical and one critical. Critical runs lights and plug points in lounge and rooms. and draw is generally 200 -300w. I have the Dyness as a backup for loadshedding and believe that is enough. At the moment I do not discharge and reading on the net I cannot get a clear answer Do you need to cycle (discharge) the battery daily to keep it in good health or is it fine just floating and keeping the charge up ? Would really love some input/recommendations on this.
  10. Hi All Just replaced my Growatt SPF5000TL with a Deye 8kw inverter. Everything is working lekker but I am struggling with the bms comms I see my cable pinout is correct (I don't have the Dipswitch B3 version) So I suspect the lithium BMS protocol is incorrect. Anyone knows this off hand ? Thanks in advance Willie
