    Hi Coulomb,
The MCU for the KING and the VMIII is the same firmware. You can use the same on either.
The Main CPU firmware is specific to the King or VM.
The oldest MCU upgrade we have done is from MCU 02.40 to 02.49.
I do have the firmwares. Please check your PM.

    Hi Kill_switch,
Good question. When we looked at the design with holes on top it created a problem for dust and particle, especially water incursion if there is a leak from a water pipe above the battery etc.
The only heat being generated will be from the BMS charger which is situated at the bottom when charging at a high rate, however the temperature of this is neglegable. The BMS has temperature control and shutdown if the temperature gets too high or will start throttling the charge/discahrge back if above 65 degrees temperature. The internal prismatic cells we use generate almost no heat due to them being grade A cells.

    Hi P1000,

First of all interesting post. We have been following it and not commenting as to stay neutral.
    Regarding spares.
    - BMS: Our BMS units are manufactured in the East and they are double coated to prevent corrosion. The BMS have been approved for Telecomms and datacentres and has CE approval etc. We have 2 service centres, JHB and CT. We order a 5% spare holding over the required minimum for BMS units per container. We currently have local spares of BMS units in JHB & CT. To date we have not had a BMS fail. We have had LCD display issues on 2 batteries but we swapped out the screen. We currently have over 60 spare full BMS boards available with more spares arriving monthly.
The BMS we use can deliver 150Amps continuous output and input. Our AM-2 batteries are set to deliver up to 120Amp output per battery. The BMS is over specced for what we use, but we prefer this as the components run cooler, this is why we have not had a BMS failure in any unit so far. The problem with overspeccing the BMS is all the component prices increase and cables are bigger, so cost increase is a factor.

    - Cells: We have spare cells that we can swap out with our units, but you also have to condition the cells and give them a top up charge every 6-8 months so they do not undervoltage and get damaged. To date we have not replaced any cells. If there is a issue we swap the full battery pack out if its new or there is issues within a week after install etc.
We also do not want to overcapatalise on older cells as the technology is moving very fast and cells get more energy dense every year.
    Hope that helps.

HubbleLithium reacted to JayBee in My Hubble AM-2 support experience
I've got two Hubble AM-2's and I recently got a cloudlink to monitor them. I should really do a separate review on that sometime, but much to my surprise my SOH was on 76% 😢
My system was installed in July 2021 so my batteries are roughly 10 months old. I actually thought I had configured something incorrectly on the cloudlink somewhere so I logged a ticket. I got a call from a very friendly support agent who had a look (they can see additional information from their side) and said my master battery, cell 1 was misbehaving - lagging behind on charging and dropping off on discharging I think he said.
No worries, I used a great installer who'll deal with all of this for me so I contacted him, battery is removed and checked in at Hubble on Wednesday morning. I was expecting to wait about 2 weeks, maybe longer with a long Easter weekend approaching but then today, 2 days later, my installer lets me know my battery will be ready for collection on Monday!
Damn that was fast, but it gets better, it turns out they didn't actually replace the cell, they're giving me an entirely new battery! Now I don't know about anyone else but that's the best service I've had in my life. I've had issues with many things from laptops to vehicles and it's always been a case of replacing parts at best, sometimes many different ones until everything works as it should. It's also usually been a painful experience involving hours on phone calls. I don't how sheltered I was from that, but going through my installer and getting this done has been a painless experience with an outcome beyond my expectations and as a result I have to say a massive thanks to Hubble for this great service. It was a good choice getting a local companies batteries, they clearly stand behind their product. I must also say a massive thanks to my installer for his role in this, so thanks @Leshen

@maxxis Awesome, Thank you for the break down.
I was going to type something similar here after our discussions on the other forum. Glad to see its solved the issue.
Once in AGM V it really does unlock a lot more out of the battery.
@Powerforum Store Amazing. Thank you for liaising with Hubble on this. Their support has been topnotch from my side too. I really cant complain.
I am sure in the next few months an update will be pushed through and we can use the Lithium setting again.
Thanks from my side to all who have shared and got involved.

Thank you @Energy-Jason for bringing this thread to our attention.
To answer some of the queries on the AM-2s capacity; the AM-2 battery is a  51V, 5.5Kw and usable 100Ah with 5 of those Kw being usable, as described in the spec sheet. We reserve 10%, so we don't charge the cells to full capacity to remove the risk of dendrite formations. Dendrite formation happens when consistently charging to 100% and greatly reduces your battery life. It is not viable to get the last 10% of the battery capacity then the battery life span will be reduced by ~50-70%. That 0.5 unusable will not take away from the 100Ah capacity. The cell capacity we use well exceeds 100Ah. Battery management systems have been installed in all our batteries to ensure we do not exceed the voltage set as inverters are designed to pull maximum capacity always.

Clients that are having any issues with State of Health are encouraged to contact us, either via our support channel or telephonically, so that our technical department can assist in an evaluation of your product. If there is a fault with the battery we are more than happy to swap it out or repair at either our Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth or Durban repair facilities.

HubbleLithium got a reaction from HyperCut in Hubble battery delivery delay.
    Hi Vaal,
We are currently 3 to 4 weeks behind orders due to massive demand.
Further to that we have containers at the harbour being delayed of up to 3.5weeks. Two days ago Cape town harbour declared force majeure due to power outage which delayed a few of our containers. However we expect to have stock next week again, though we are closed for the festive season. Deliveries will start again in the new year.
We're in the same boat at Tesla as they have a 6 month backlog on powerwalls due to chip shortages same as us.
We do apologize and appreciate your understanding.

HubbleLithium got a reaction from Morne SBR in RIOT Cloudlink Sunsynk & Deye monitoring
    Hi Community.
For those with 8KW Sunsynk & Deye inverters you can now graph all data with your RIOT Cloudlink by simply plugging in a RJ45 cable into the RIOT MUL port and configuring the RIOT RS485 to Deye. Note that some older RIOT units might not support the graphing.
Ensure you have version 3.0 of the firmware on your Cloudlink device. If you do not have this yet, you will have it by next week as we're slowly rolling this out over the next week to everyone. You will then automatically get a upgraded dashboard.
Ensure you set the RIOT as per below if you have Verision 3.0. You can now remote console into your RIOT Cloudlink with the portal.
We are still working on the 5KW Sunsynk graphing and remote control update. We're hoping to release that update soon.

Thank you @Leshen for the time and effort put into my installation. It may be entry level but I'm really excited. Excellent workmanship from your team and so knowledgeable. I am staring down the rabbit hole now.. thanks lol! Even got my generator to work with the system.. outstanding!
I would never hesitate to recommend Leshen if you are looking into going the inverter/solar route. There are just too many companies/people out there who claim to know what they are doing but just want to make a quick buck and not have the required knowledge or expertise to put an efficient system together nor listen to what their client needs.
Next step.. another AM-2 and then solar panels

    Hi Keith,
The Sunsynk does not give any info over CANbus for load, PV and voltages, so we had to move over to their rs232 port. We have completed implementing their serial RS232 protocol to monitor and remotely control the Sunsynk. Currently it is in beta testing still.

You will receive a firmware over the air update in the next 4 weeks automatically. This will enable full sunsynk monitoring.
