  1. @ebrsa thanks, I have just emailed them. Hoping to get a test license for a week or so to see if it solves any of my issues before I buy it.
  2. @ebrsathe Centurion solar icc has a nice ability / tab for pylontechs, using the charge from the bmv as well. Axperts suck at guessing the SoC, does Manie's one have that?
  3. @ebrsa I got the one from Centurion solar. Version 2.8.5. Is there another one? Sorry I'm still new to solar. Which is the best one?
  4. I got it directly from Centurion solar, so I'm guessing it's an upgrade from the original. I notice a restart every now and again does help, but that's annoying.
  5. I'm having the same issues. My ICC hangs continuously, where it becomes effectively unusable. Even something as simple as trying to see if there are updates becomes futile. I then close it, click close on the error message, and then wait 10 minutes for it to restart, before repeating the futile exercise again. The rest of my pi seems fine
  6. Hi All, I know this has been discussed to death, but I just noticed my pylontech 3000c went to grid at 35.5V. I remember seeing @Coulombmentioning it should be at 48v.i set my icc to 10% back to grid. My night-time use is 400w,so it seems the inverter is overriding the icc. Should I change the to grid voltage to very low perhaps, to make sure the icc manages the crossover to grid instead? Thanks
  7. Hey guys, So it turned out to be the MPPT, i replaced it and all seems fine. One more question... I have an Axpert King and 2x3000c batteries. I got the cable from Centurion Solar as well, but I see a fluctuating difference between battery discharge and load of up to 100W. What can cause this? See attached.
  8. Thanks for that @Proxicon, do you perhaps have the file or a link to it?
  9. U1 71.93 U2 02.40 At this moment my PV voltage is 0. It is stupidly hot in Durban today, and cloudless, if that is of any consequence Also, my load was about 400W maximum
  10. Just to add. I have 2x pylontech 3000c batteries. They were put in a few days ago. Could it be that the BMS from the pylontech is causing this? Never had this issue with my previous batteries. I noticed mentioned something about firmware?@Coulomb
  11. Hi guys, so all was running fine until about an hour ago. I noticed my electricity tripped, then went to the inverter. (Axpert King), and see that its lost PV. Any suggestions? See attached.
  12. Ah ok.... So would it then just be a matter of setting 5% on the ICC as a back to grid?
  13. Hey guys, I went through the forum, and see the suggested back to utility setting is 48V. I have 2x 3000c's, my question is, with them able to go down to 5% SoC, what percentage is 48V? I should be getting my cable from Centurion solar today, to connect to the Pi, and will probably just use the percentages on the app,but shouldn't back to grid voltage be much lower if you do decide to take it down to 5%?
  14. 100% correct. I made a mistake here, and I was lucky to get out of it. They really did try every trick in the book. If it was not for my IT skills, tracking down ID numbers, addresses etc it wouldve turned out much worse. I am very sure there are many people that got scammed by them, who did not have my dogged determination to bring them to book. Must admit though, they came across very reputable with (apparently) 120 installations, reviews etc. Note to anyone looking to go solar. Contact the SESSA Ombudsman, make sure the company is registered with them. If not, find someone that is.
  15. OK so problem solved. Here's what happened... Power backup solutions sold me scrapped batteries. Took the serial numbers to Mustek, and they confirmed it. The supplier though was a real a**hole and refused to reimburse me. I involved the ombudsman, Mustek legal etc. Long story short, he then passed away, or so I was told. His phone, twitter, Facebook, email etc is gone. But... I managed to track down his partner, who basically reacted like he did. Only after I did some more research, I found her id number, and put real pressure on her, and she then reimbursed me,and promptly blocked any contact. Wednesday I am having 2 pylontech Us3000c's put in with a reputable installer. It could've been much worse, and I was just lucky not letting this go for 5 solid months So a heads up, if he faked his death, stay away from Christiaan Ernst van den Heuvel and Melanie Brett. They may or may not resurface under a different company name. Thanks @Coulomb and everyone for your help. Once the pylontechs are in, I will feedback on their performance with my icc readings
  16. Yeah I am. Thanks. Taking my bmv back then
  17. Yeah I am. Thanks. Taking my bmv back then
  18. OK. So I found the problem. My supplier sold me old, out of warranty batteries as new. After threatening legal action he has now agreed to reimburse me. Going over to pylontechs. Here's my question... I have a brand new, unopened bmv 702. Do I still need it with the pylontech? Is it a nice to have? Would you guys connect it to the pylontechs?
  19. Ah OK, so the 2 being the ones at the edge of the battery is thus just a fluke, and I shouldn't read too much into that?
  20. @Coulomb i had a quick look at the voltages now, all 8 modules are at 13.8V, so those 2 seem charged
  21. Don't think charging them up will fix it, remember yesterday they were all the same voltage. Could this have anything to do with it being the 2 modules that are connected to the cable that go to the inverter?

  23. As an aside..... Is this the floating bug issue in a picture? Notice when the solar charged it no absorption voltage was reached.
  24. Put another way, these 2 flat batteries are the ones going to the inverter.
