  1. A friend of mine built a battery with a JKBMS (older version, I believe version 11) and had the same problem. No CAN protocol. I helped him to implement a simulated CAN message Fetched the battery values over bluetooth and translated those into CAN bus messages (Using an ESP32 microcontroller)
  2. My ITS heatpump uses a 10K NTC. Inexpensive component and easy to source. I would assume other heat pumps use them too
  3. My ITS dates back to 2009 actual consumption on a 150 liter geyser: It does have a hum with the windows closed but the sound of traffic is much more noisy Heatpump started by my smart home on a schedule at 3:30AM in Pretoria (we are now just after the middle of winter) Today: Start Temp 19.5 to 53 = 2.139kWh in 2h03min Yesterday: Start Temp 31.5 to 53 = 1.545kWh in 1h30min Day before yesterday: Start Temp 24.3 to 53 = 1.946kWh in 1h55min It already paid for itself many times over
  4. Master Slave you need 2x dongles. The master reports different values than the slave even though some of the values are shared. My dashboard gives you a unified view of your system (and also a view for both master and slave). I have had very few queries on setting up a Master/Slave dashboard, most people figured out my naming conventions (and the comments in the config files gives you a hint too).
  5. Quick update: I released dashboard 4.5 (a while ago already) and firmware 4.5. All existing clients can upgrade(free of charge). I added full support for High Voltage 50kW inverters (and the other models 12/20/30 kW HV). The 4.5 firmware version include workarounds for Sunsynk and Deye servers that go offline. You can now add an automation to work around the problem. Complete revamp of the graphs to work around broken data from Server down time (It works on the existing data). Graphs included for daily, weekly, monthly and lifetime totals. Graphs start populating from the first day. Many Generator port controls added. One dashboard for Single Phase / 3Phase / 3 Phase High Voltage. Interesting: Getting most of my orders from Europe. With Loadshedding suspended I have received very few local orders.
  6. @GreenFields One MPPT has 5S and the other 4S2P, the voltage shows that it is always above the minimum, there is just very little current when not in full sunshine. The voltage dips mid-day is when it actually produces some real power
  7. I split my 8S string into 4S2P, at least when 4 panels are in full sun I am getting good power from those 4. Sunsynk needs to adjust the code of their MPPT to look for global maximums power points. Their firmware is lacking.
  8. The size of the firmware is greater than the OTA partition. You could always do away with the OTA feature and have one large partition and your firmware would work, you just need to flash it via USB every time
  9. Currently it looks like new stock will be arriving around 23/24th
  10. That is the sunsynk server going down causing your inverter to think it is midnight and resetting the daily totals Easily spotted in the data
  11. Thank you for the suggestions, criticism is always welcome. I so wish I was "waiting" for the stock. Most of my times goes into developing and improving firmware, this is my marketing strategy Busy with development the 3Phase High Voltage solution for industrial automation so that I can compete with SCADA world. I am also busy with the coding of a ATESS module on the side. This is for a mine with almost a MW of solar, so hoping we can save them some diesel bills by being able to automate things based on the state of their solar system and schedule To me my website is my wheelbarrow, it needs to get A to B.
  12. @Sc00bs why kick a man when he is down? I do sell locally. I have 2 dongles available that I sell with firmware at this stage (that is my only stock I have) I do have about 40x Geniune ESP32 Microcontrollers that was delivered this week but those are useless on their own. I have a stack of dud circuits that never made it past testing. I do not sell those, I am not that kind of person. Just currently out of stock and having the worst Feb. R12K out of pocket waiting for my package and I have bills to pay. My package has been stuck for more than 3 weeks and I sold out on 7Feb. Luckily the tracking shows it moved again, so I will have stock around then end of Feb if I judge by other shipments.
  13. Your communications board in the inverter is dead. Get it replaced under warranty
  14. Yes, I have clients running completely off-grid and the Gen is connected to the Grid input and the AUX/GEN is used to run aircons and other non-essentials. The inverter can still start the Generator via normal inverter logic and charge the battery to the desired level (According to the Time-of-use)
  15. Just a business with the usual, office equipment, coffee, aircons etc. It is scary to see how much power the sun can produce. For any large business it makes sense to go solar
