DeepBass9 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 I am going to install a wind generator to supplement my solar system. The controller for the turbine only has an analogue ammeter on it. I would like to monitor the power production on an instantaneous, daily and monthly/ total basis. Is there a gizmo that will do this? I guess you need to monitor the power going from the charge controller to the batteries? So measuring volts and amps there will give you the power. What can I use to do that? Quote
DeepBass9 Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 Is there something like this which works with DC? http://www.sustainable.co.za/efergy-e2-wireless-single-phase-electricity-monitor.html Quote
DeepBass9 Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 Found some meters on Amazon, quite cheap and look like they will do the job : https://powerwerx.com/watt-meter-analyzer-inline-dc-powerpole https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JOUZELG?psc=1 Chris Hobson 1 Quote
superdiy Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 A battery monitor, e.g. BMV? It will measure volts and current and can be logged... ___ 1 Quote
