Posted December 14, 20213 yr Hey Guys Hope you all doing well. Hopefully someone can help me out with a question i have about my new batteries. I have 3 UP5000 batteries connected to a Kodak MKSIII. iv left the setting on the inverter as Pylontech batteries so the BMS is controlling all the figures. Was a little skeptical to play with any settings as the batteries are a little pricey. Now the bulk and float charge is set to 53.2 back to discharge at 54. It seems like the batteries always charge up to 50.5 then they show full. It has never gone up to 53.2. The available amp hours also show as 298 and should be 300 at full. I know its just a small amount just wondering if the setting are all correct? thanks in advance
February 21, 20223 yr Hi Thomasel. If the comms is working between the batteries and the inverter the BMS will tell the inverter what it wants. On my system I can change setting but it will revert back to what the batteries want. You can just set the back to grid voltage so that it doesn't take your batteries to low. I will recommend getting Solar Assistant to allow you to select the lowest State of charge when going back to grid. I will also allow you to monitor your system remotely and make changes if need be.
February 21, 20223 yr Down load BatteryView and then you can look at each battery/cell to see what's going on. It will show the state of each cell its voltage etc. You will need a cable from your PC to the battery bank... BatteryView_3.0.23.zip
February 21, 20223 yr And the DLL's.... I got mine working last year and cant remember the steps but if you search the forum you will find the cable specs, config steps etc. Also download Putty (Used to serial/ssh/telnet to the batteries and then use CLI to interrogate them.. pwrsys info soh stat bat pwr socd getpwr BatteryView_3.0.23_dll.zip
