Just received my Hubble Cloudlink and would like to install it but after reading the manual I can't figure out which way I should setup it.

There are Rj45 to RJ12 cables. Can to Can cable. A 24-48V power cable and a RJ2 to RJ2 cable.

Currently the Can on inverter is connected to the batteries Can.

Manual says to only use power when not using the Red serial cable.

So my understanding is with sunsynk the power cable needs to be connected and then the inverter Can connected to the Cloudlink Can port.

Should the Hubble Am-2 Can then be connected to the Mul(ti) port.

Any advice would be appreciated. @Leshenyou have done these on Sunsynk right?

I got the Cloudlink cause it was cheap when bundled with an AM-2 battery.

Correct the CANBus is required for inverter & BMS to communicate.
The LB-BMS menu on SunSynk will show if Comms are working.

I used the RJ12 to RJ12 serial cable to connect RIOT Ser port to BMS RJ12 Serial port on main battery.
I used an RJ45 cable to connect RIOT MUL port to RS485 port on SunSynk.
Unfortunately RIOT seems to be incompatible with my SunSynk 8k 😞

I use an old MikroTik 24V PSU to power the RIOT.

Thanks. Still a bit confused since you say it doesn't work on your 8kw. Won't I be able to connect the CAN to the inverter from the Riot and then the serial RJ12 to the Hubble battery? Then the riot CAN communicates with inverter and riot with battery?

Hi Joe

Can bus from the Sunsynk to Can on the RIOT. Then RS232 from RIOT to RS232 on the Hubble.

Either I'm a complete idiot or this Cloudlink thing is an utter POS!

It detects inverter but cannot get any data. It gets the data for battery from RS232 though which is all it does.

The only way I could get the Sunsynk to connect to the Hubble am-2 for BMS AND get data from the Cloudlink was to connect Inverter CAN to Riot CAN, then Riot Mul port to Battery CAN port, then RS232 from Riot to battery RS232.

According to another forum post by @HubbleLithium they said Inverter Can to Riot Can, then Riot Mul to Rs485 on Inverter. This does Jack bulldust.

For the price I could have gotten a way better monitoring system. The UI also needs a lot of work. The sub menus are terrible.

When can we expect proper Sunsynk support and proper Hubble battery support? I would have expected specific hubble battery selections on the Device Config. The name is on BOTH items!!

Did you use the cables it came with? Or those set of special extra RJ45's
