My RcT Max shuts down and restarts by itself later in the evening as the sun sets. My Rct vm  3 shut down and stayed off. The max however will keep on restarting and tripping until you switch it off or isolate the pv's I am using it without batteries.

06 , "reset when overload occurs is set to default "restart disabled

01 is set to SUB

U 1  46-05

U2 was 12-06 but Rectron send me an new ver. to try and get rid of the F8 problem nw 12-13

where can I get the U2 ver 12_06 firmware to downgrade again?

do you perhaps have an answer to my rct max that keeps on restarting when the pv input becomes low. This behavior will obliviously damage me appliances.

My rct vm3 shuts down and stays of as it should on low light conditions.

I am using both off grid and without batteries.

For this to work, I believe that you need utility connected. Are you expecting it to work during load shedding?

Edit: it seems with more reading, I was wrong about that. But I don't think that the MAX series can operate batteryless. They advertise a "battery independent design", which I think means they don't totally suck with lithium batteries.

They are connected to the utilty, its when there is load shedding and the pv input get low in the afternoon that it doesnt shutdown and stays off.

The Max performce well duing daytime without utility, its the constant tripping and restarting late afternoon that I cannot get to stop. Where the vm3 stays off once it tripped. (Both does restart automatically once the grid is restored)
