Currently experiencing the warning code 32 on a Kodak OG5.48  (VMIII 5kw) . Did a MCU firmware update without any problems but when we did die CPU we got this error. Update was done on others with the same official procedure without any problems. Any help would be much appreciated. MCU from 2.40 to 2.70, CPU 41.14 to 41.17. Inverter been running for almost 2 years. When running the reflash tool it says it does not have communication to the UPS and the RS232 cable needs to be checked.

Tested the display panel on one of the units that the firmware updates were successfull and it started up without a hitch.

The firmware just started when we got the error. Same RS232 cable was used for the MCU update that succeeded and CPU that failed.

Warning code 32 means that the display can't talk to the DSP in the main inverter. It probably means that the DSP update failed. Just repeat the DSP firmware update until it comes good.

The opto couplers seem to be marginal for firmware updates. Consider using another removable display for the update, it might be less marginal.

If all this fails, you might have to replace the optos on the small comms board inside the inverter.

If that fails too, well let's see how far you get first.

Got it sorted now. Different RS232 to usb cable and used another laptop and the firmware decided to update and everything came back.
