Sidewinder
Hi all, Would like to know, from a long term data storage perspective, is 16G big enough? I don't want to get a 16G card and after x month get a card memory full error. How much memory is required to store Axpert data for 1-5 years. (Assuming here that after 5 years one has outgrown said inverter and will upgrade/change) I was thinking in getting a 64G (for my camera), but maybe a smaller card will also be ok, seeing that the (every 5 minutes?) write cycles will kill the card eventually. Thanks
Guest
Guys this is version 1. I support the app. Db backup ect is your own responsibility. I dont support raspbiam etc. Thats why you get a month to decide if you want it. If its not for you then dont use it. You can look at alternatives for windows or Mac. The choise is still yours if you want to use it or not.I have a 32gig card and is using the app for about 6 months and still have about 25 gig lef on the sd.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
cvzyl
Sidewinder, I doubt that you'll need a bigger SD card for the DB. I've been running ICC since it was released (as AICC) and my db is 35kb. So unless you're going to do something else on the Pi even 8Gb should be enough. C

SilverNodashi
how many read/write/re-writes does ICC do? memory cards generally have limited write cycles on each sector so it would be better to use a large flash RAM or 2.5" USB HDD for long term reliability. I guess if it's only a couple Mb, or even a couple hunder Mb, it wouldn't matter too much on a very large MicroSD card.
