Hi All

Hope someone could help me in my confusion to connect a Raspberry pi 3b+ to my inverters

I have 3 x 3phase 12kw deye inverters connected in parallel. Rj45 cables come from the bms port of each inverter to a rs485/can hub and then to my master battery. 

So my question, how to connect the raspberry pi?

Go and have a look at how solar assistant connects to the Sunsynk and Deye inverters.

Just maybe that will answer your questions.

Install solar asstant on the pi. I think it costs R900. Make sure you have the version that support the 3 phase inverter. I had to install a beta version. You will need a console cable from the pi usb to the console port on the battery. I use pylontech batteries. You need a rs485 cable from the pi usb to the bms port for each inverter. I bought the cables from sunsync.

It works quite well.

How did you solve the connection problem ?

Have same problem with Deye SUN-10K-SG04LP3 where Meter Port is used for Eastron Smart meter and BMS used for connection with Pylontech.

Well I'm not an installer but what I did is I used the meter port of each inverter to the raspberry. 

I'm not sure if a rj45 splitter would be your answer to connect two devices on the meter port. 

I while ago I read somewhere that if you upgrade your inverter to the newest firmware you could use the bms port for solar assistant as well.
