March 19, 20224 yr I've been having weird issues regarding my Deye Inverters and asked them folk over in China to upgrade my Inverters firmware and software as it struggled to see generator input during cloudy days this week. I was on versions: c351 / 6006 However they have tried upgrading apparently on a few occasions and it failed and sent me the files to upgrade locally, which I proceeded to do, I'm now on versions: c356 / 3373. Yes it sounds weird, but I believe they sent me the wrong files and have heard from other sources that they also experienced these weird issues. Now after I upgraded my inverters keep throwing out a F34 error, which I find weird as it was working perfectly fine on versions c351 / 6006. I believe the hardware versions are wrong, is there anyone (after multiple attempts to speak Chinese with these folk), who has the c351 / 6006 hardware & software firmware available to download or send me, please? March 19, 20224 yr I also got a F34 AC overload error after an update on my sunsynk. I had to take the inverter in to sunsynk/deye in JHB. What does your error say? Is your inverter working? Mine stopped supplying power after i got the F34 error.

March 20, 20224 yr How many times have you got this? Costs to get it fixed? What did they say is the cause of the F34 error? I am still waiting to hear from them.

It's the first time this has happened (assuming it's because of the wrong firmware versions having been installed). I also can't send any load, regardless of kW to the load outputs. I've not yet taken in the units ... will be doing so this coming Tuesday. Costs wise I'm not too stressed about it as this was per instruction from the manufacturer (with full email trail), so this should be covered under warranty - as all else is in-place.

Hey @RabidBunny What issues have you been having with your generator? I have an 8Kw Sunsynk inverter. I was having issues with my generator where it would connect for a few seconds and the disconnect, you could hear the relay engaging and then disengaging and the generator would take load for a few seconds before disconnecting again. I was convinced that it was something to do with the frequency/voltage/inverter and double checked all my settings on the inverter allowing for a wider range of frequency's & voltages. Situation improved slightly but still not able to connect for more than 30 seconds. My installer came to rectify an issue I was having with the bonded neutral on my inverter and "hey presto" no more generator issues and can now pull 4.5kw from the generator no problems. I would suggest checking your neutral bonding on your inverter as it may be the solution to your generator issues

The units are in for repairs as they could not resolve rectifying the F34 remotely. I don't have neutral bonding established on the load-side, as the bonding is done via a relay that only when Eskom is off establishes the bond. The generator is properly earthed as well to it's own earth spike, but also bonded with the main earthing ... I figured out that because the generator stood for quite some time that the problem may have been the gennie as it couldn't output more than 60V around two weeks later when I needed it, but when I started her up to charge the batteries she was outputting 220V. I'll see if the units do pick up the gennie once I get them back, but will have to probably take the gennie in for a service first.
April 23, 20224 yr So voltage between Earth and Neutral should be 0 when you are running of the generator. Check out this video at 14:30, explains the whole issue
July 30, 20223 yr Inverter was installed 2 days ago and now it is not working properly. Inverter stays in standby mode and does not charge batteries. This happened after a firmware update was requested. The Deye Technician accidentally flashed the unit with 5kw firmware and then reflashed it with the 8kw firmware. Does anyone here have the firmware files even it is outdated. Deye service department stopped responding after they flashed my inverter with the wrong firmware. Their last mail was "We have replaced the firmware for you. Please check whether there will be any alarm". this was Friday morning 07:01, Radio silence from then even after more than 14 mails to countless contacts.

I think that is why they are afraid of releasing firmwares publicly, because they themselves can f*ck up. I mean really? How in the hell would the firmware update push through if the file is not for the specific hardware? Dont they have some checksum checking? You should file warranty claim. I'm afraid this will cause them to stop their willingness to update firmwares to people who just want updated firmware without problems.
