incagarcilaso Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I've set up an input from ICC to a local emoncms running on the same Raspberry Pi but I am getting pages and pages of inputs with repeated values for all the measurements. Is this correct or have I done something wrong? In ICC I used the "write" API Key to submit the data - is that the problem (should I have used the read API Key? Quote
PaulF007 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 @incagarcilaso the node is missing on your input from the reader and the local emon needs a node value else it keeps on posting a new line. @Manie should be able to assist with the reader. Regards Paul Quote
incagarcilaso Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Thanks @PaulF007 I'll see if @Manie picks up this thread or write separately. Not sure I understand or see how to resolve it. Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Hi If you look at the your attached image, I don't know where that feeds is coming from. I post to node 1 and there is no issues there Quote

All I did was put in the emoncms URL and the API keyy in ICC and then check the "Post Data" box. When I went into emoncms it had created that new node where it repeats the feeds hundreds of times. Any ideas why? Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 What does node one shows?Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk It seems to be showing as it should with no repeated data fields but posted data does not go there, it goes to the new node (that has no number and seemed to be created when I first posted to emoncms). There are some values for some fields in node 1 but I'm guessing that is just from the original Jessie/ICC image creation. All show as "inactive". Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Yes is may be . Delete it and let the app send the inputsSent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Quote
incagarcilaso Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Just now, Manie said: Yes is may be . Delet it and let the app send the inputs Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk I cannot find any way to delete a node. If you look in the inputs config in emoncms you can delete individual fields in a node but there are no options to delete the node. Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Stop sending data to emon and start deleting the inputs one by one. If you delete the last input then the node will be deleted. You cant delete a note if there are still inputs in that nodeSent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Quote

I'm going to start again and hope that this time it works. Just to check - in ICC the API key I need to use to post data is the "write" key, right? That isn't what caused the problem? Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 yes you need the write key. Not sure because i am getting only one input as to my above attachment Quote

The data was coming in from the old installation of AICC that I had running on Windows. I imagine that is not set up correctly to work with the new setup of the emoncms server on the RaspberryPI Quote
Guest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 It can be . I don't support AICC for windows and can not comment on it. Still a great app to use for serial comms !! Quote

I'm going to try now with the new ICC, but I've sent you a PM because the Key you sent isn't accepted. Quote
