Sc00bs Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Hi Has anyone had any experience with these batteries sold locally by Five Star? https://www.felicitysolar.com/48v-250ah-lithium-ion-battery-price-rechargeable-lithium-deep-cycle-iron-phosphate-battery_p99.html They come from Felicity Solar in China and I am trying to help a friend link the comms up to his Sunsynk inverter. He is currently running it just off the BMS so not ideal as the SOC's are obviously very inaccurate. The battery only has an RS485 port, no CANBUS. We have tried connecting it up using the cable they supplied and changed the battery settings on his Sunsynk inverter to RS485 but does not pick up any BMS info. We have checked the dip switches on the battery as per the manual and they look connect. Not sure if comms with the inverter are even possible and the local guys don't seem to be of much help. Any suggestions welcome. Quote
HenkvdB Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Hi, yes I bought them also. You need to set the jumpers correctly, it's 10000 if you have only one battery. Then after selecting Litium in the battery settings, you need to adjust the lithium mode to 12 on the next page in the battery settings. If you have multiple batteries then the jumpers need to be set 10001 for the first, 01001 for the second. But the bms currently only works for 1 battery, it will limit you to 70A when using the bms. They are working with Deye to resolve that. Oh and the normal network cable doesn't work, they gave me a special one. Sc00bs 1 Quote
JohnnyEast-Lynne Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Hi Henk Have you managed to sort the comms between your Felicity batteries and Inverter? Quote
BruceL Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Hi, I have a 15kva five star lithium battery and a 5kva synapse/voltronic inverter, I am battling to get the inverter to communicate with the battery. I made a rj45 cable connect canL and canH using voltronic and five star manuals. Using can connection on battery. All dip switches are set to 0. What setting do I use on the inverter have tried all 3 lithium settings Sol, pyl, Weco. Just get alarm. 61 after 3 mins. Any suggestions Quote
