JayN Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Hi, There was a wobble in the system ... and I'm not sure if it is the inverter or the battery. Battery initially refused to go below 55%, and then overnight despite the settings on the inverter it drained completed. I restarted the inverter and it is now back up and running, however the capacity of the single Hubble AM2 sees to be only around 3kwh. I've lost 40% capacity and the battery was installed in Sep 2021. I have contacted the installer who thinks the inverter needs a firmware update. Anyone else have this experience? Quote
Chris_H Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 hi Jay I have the same installation as you, but never seen this, think it's good idea to have firmware updated as a starting point..... Quote
Yellow Measure Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 I would suggest contacting Hubble support for an analysis. If you have a Cloudlink they can log in remotely and perform diagnostics. system32 1 Quote
system32 Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 @JayN I've had to upgrade both the inverter and AM-2 firmware to resolve issues. Check with Hubble support and SunSynk support. Quote
Leshen Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 Did your installer take the battery back to Hubble for assessment as discussed in another thread? Quote
Steve87 Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 With all these issues, I very much doubt the battery is actually loosing capacity. I will however, vouch for there being a Comms issue with the inverter or battery. Now depending on who you ask you will get a variety of answers or guess. Hopefully these guys get ahead of these issues and get to a happy place. Jacques Ester 1 Quote

Check with Hubble support and SunSynk support. I'm having an SOC issue with my AM2, Hubble advised to upgrade the firmware but after an hour trying I couldnt get it going. They just sent an upgrade app and the bin file (no other instructions). I've tried different baudrates, addresses, pinout, RS232 and TTL levels, all to no avail. Any tips on how to get it going pls. Hubble's support channels aren't the quickest out there. Thanks! (I'm using a Moxa Uport 1100 USB Serial dongle) Quote

Should I use the RS485 port for the upgrade? Damm, just checked the manual and yes I should use the RS485 and not 232 port Thanks for pointing that out! Iiceman 1 Quote

(I'm using a Moxa Uport 1100 USB Serial dongle) I used the Solar-Assistant USB/RS232 cable plugged into the Hubble AM2 Console port https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/hubble_am On a Windows 10 Laptop Took about 5 minutes for Windows Update to install the FTDI chip driver and for the COM port to appear in Windows device manage. Hubble Support supplied a password. From what I can see the BMS is based on a device from PACE - http://www.pacebms.com/en/index.php/lists/33.html Edited May 29, 2022 by system32 Quote
