Deye Inverter SUN-5K-SG01LP1-EU uses grid power for backup load

A friend of mine have one of these Deye inverters. It is connected after a prepaid meter. Some plugs in the house is connected to the LOAD terminals of the inverter. The kettle is using one of these plugs. When the kettle is switched on (full sun and battery), the power comes from the grid and not from solar/battery.

I have a few questions which is not clear in the manual:

1) Load terminals is for Essentials (Backup / UPS) when grid fails. Does it uses grid power until grid fails and then start using Solar/Battery?

2) Time of use option. Is it required to enable for the system to use Solar/Battery to supply power to essentials while on Grid?

We have tried different settings which does not solve the issue:

Zero Export to Load - Supposed to only supply power to essentials via the "Load" connector (Backup mode)?

Zero Export to CT - Supposed to supply power to all loads

Not selling any power

Enabled the "Time of use" option so battery can be used to boil the kettle, but Grid power is still being used.

I have advised him to switch off the power to the Inverter to force it to use Solar/battery for the essential loads. He has to monitor and supply Grid power if Solar/Battery power is not sufficient.

Any advice is welcome.
