smithcza Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Good morning guys I have a Mecer 2400 inverter trolley (recently connected to a 300W solar panel). It seems that the batteries are dying (can't even make it through two hour load-shedding with minimal load). I found these on the internet: https://www.geewiz.co.za/lithium-ion-batteries/153798-hubble-s-120-15kwh-12v-120ah-lithium-ion-battery.html I also recently got a quote for 200ah 12 AGM batteries (R4850 each). Which is the best way to go? (I really do not want to replace batteries every two years...) Regards, Christiaan IMG_2032.HEIC Quote
Paulo Joaquim Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I believe these batteries dont have a BMS (Battery Managment) system Christiaan. The Lithium Ion ones require a BMS unless it has it built in. So you will need to factor that into your cost as well as installation of the BMS. Probably why the cost is appealing is the BMS is not included in the total cost here. Quote
