SunSynk 5.5kw + FreedomWon eTower 5kwh Battery

Morning all,

I have recently installed a SunSynk 5.5 inverter with a LiFePo 5Kwh /100ah Freedom Won battery. I would just want to ensure I have the right configuration for the unit. Currently everything is running nominal, the CT is connected the BMS is communicating etc. Would I still need to set settings manually for the battery if the BMS is communicating?

I currently have the following settings:

Gen signal ticked

grid charged ticked

grid signal ticked

Battery float v: 55.2

Absorption v: 57.6

Equilization v: 57.6

90 days

0.0 hours

I have changed my settings to 55.8v for float, equilisation and absorption with a max discharge of 100A and low batt to 30%. I am assuming this is what it should be from what I have read from other sources.

For the Float, Eq and Absorption - what does the battery manual / sticker state? That should be your true north as the batteries all differ.

You don't need Gen signal unless you have a generator connected to the inverter

Your settings for shutdown, low batt and restart are ok - you can also change these to suit your usage, e.g. mine are 8, 10 and 12 respectively but i run my batteries down to 35% everyday. So if there is LS when we wake up i will still have between 35 and 8% usage

Thanks Mzezman,

The sticker and manual talks about max settings. I found an interesting line in the manual stating 55.8v float and all other settings, so I set it as per the manual that i had to go find online (nothing in box). Wasn't too impressed with Freedom Won support either as I asked the support gentleman the same question on what the voltages should be and he referred me to whoever I bought the battery from. Surely giving that info isn't hard.

Anyways - hoping I have it set up properly now.
