Very much a noob to this and I’m quite clueless when it comes to working with these inverter but I’m slowly learning.

Is it possible to install a time delay relay on an inverter circuit where the inverter is being used as a UPS - no solar?

The circuits draw too much power when the inverter kicks in at load shedding or a power failure so I want to set them to delay turning on until the inverter has stabilised after switch over.

Is this possible?

I'm running 2 x Axpert 5kVa/4kw inverters with 48V 400ah total battery bank (8 x 12V 200Ah Gel batteries - 2 banks of 4 in series then both banks connected in parallel),

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Although a bit bulky the KVP-30A unit that can switch 30A has a 0-300sec adjustable delay to switch back on after a under/over voltage. These can be used to delay fridges etc from switching on after the power went off and comes back on.

I've had great success with Hiking DDS238-VAP DIN-rail 63A/80A digital adjustable under/over voltage protectors with 2-255 seconds adjustable switch on delay time. Hiking is a credible Chinese manufacturer of Class 1 accuracy kWh energy meters.

You can purchase a single piece off AliExpress at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001049254215.html

A more robust alternative, albeit more expensive and with less features, would be to use an on-delay timer connected to a household AC modular contactor as described here.
