HanroS Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 For the people who know or can help. Is there a way for the axpert inverter to have a more accurate SOC determination other than using its own calculation A bit of more info I have a single Bluenova 5.2 DU rackpower battery. Quote
Jacques Ester Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Look at getting the Solar assistant system. It can Communicate with the inverter and battery. It will control your inverter and you will also be able to monitor and change settings via internet. Quote
HanroS Posted May 6, 2022 Author Posted May 6, 2022 Would I need the BMAC controller from Bluenova to communicate with Solar assistant. I see I would need a Rasberry Pi but I really don't have a clue about setting it up Quote
Jacques Ester Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 It comes already loaded with program. Plug in and select inverter and battery. Connect to wifi. Done Go and have a look on there site. Nice setup instructions and videos. Not sure about the BMAC controller. They will assist Quote

The Pmodbus Toos monitoring software comes with the battery packs from Averge. I guess that every battery manufacturer has its own monitoring software compatible with their BMS. However there is one restriction: I burned the communication board on the inverter when I connected the BMS RS485 line to the same laptop that monitors the inverter. There is a ground level conflict. Luckily there was no other damage. I now use two different laptops. Otherwise I would need an optocoupler to isolate the grounds. Quote
