Dieter Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 How do you clean your solar panels? - Do I use glass cleaner? Mild soap, sunlight liquid? with a soft broom? or power washer? How often do you clean your Solar Panels? - Every 6 months, annually? Quote
Irocmaster Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Soapy water sunlight liquid or car shampoo, wash with a rag can reach my panels easy. Was them if to much pigeon sh#@t on them. Quote
MdF Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) Soapy water and sunlight liquid with a long reach mop, like you get at Verimark. Rinse down with a hose pipe. Don't clean them in summer due to rain but do so every 2nd month in winter due to dust buildup. MdF Edited May 10, 2022 by MdF Quote
Nexuss Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) I read somewhere that you shouldnt use soap as there is a protective film on the panels that doesnt like soap or something like that . I just use a broom and hosepipe. Edited May 10, 2022 by Nexuss Quote
Mauritius B Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Just water and a long mop. No soap. Maybe once a month in winter cause the production is lower (north hemisphere). No worry in spring or summer. Quote
GreenFields Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Squeegee head on the end of an aluminium pool vac pipe. No soap. And hosepipe. But mostly get rain year-round, and since my bird-loving pigeon-feeding ex-neighbour moved away, decided it's not worth the effort. Quote
