Danger Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 I've got a Deye 12kw 3p hybrid inverter at home. I might need a few exra mppt's to manage more strings. One of the simplier ways is to connect a grid tie inverter to the gen port and let te dye manage it. Do I need to connect a 3p grid tie inverter, or would it potentially be possible to use a 1p gried tie inverter? Quote

Do you want to add the grid tied as a gen input while you have the 3ph connected to a grid connection? Quote

Looks easy to add an inverter to the gen port, just not sure if it needs to be a 3p or if I can use a 1p inverter. Quote

A grid tied generates 220V AC so why not connect direct on the main incoming AC. It then generates AC from the panels via it's built in MPPT. Quote
