Hi All

I bought a 3KW hybrid inverted today and are looking to connect it to a 24V LiFePO4 battery.

I understand I need to fuse the positive of the battery.

Trying to find out what fuse (and where to get it) on the internet seems near impossible, so here is my question:

What fuse to I use and where can I get one? (Centurion Area).

Thanks in advance,

I can't help with where to get it in SA, but be sure that it is a DC rated fuse. These are more expensive than AC rated fuses, since interrupting DC is much harder than interrupting AC (where the current cycles through zero 100 times per second). Usually, suitable DC fuses will be larger and in a ceramic case of some sort (sand filled inside). In cartridge format, typically 28 mm diameter. It will need a suitable fuse holder rated for full battery current.
