LeeMun Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 I have an installation with 1 Dyness 3.6kW battery & Mecer 5kW inverter. Now am adding the 2nd battery same spec as the other 1 and configured accordingly but the Alarm light & buzzer comes on when the 2 batteries are running. Old battery shows full on SoC and the new battery shows half on the LEDs. Will the alarm & buzzer go off after some time or there is an error. Any help is much appreciated. the Old battery on the installation is 3months old. TIA Quote

It sounds like you did not equalise the SoC of the two battery modules before paralleling. It would be best to get them to as close to the same SoC as you can individually, then parallel them. The alarm is on the Old battery which l made the Master. Thank you, I will try that. Quote
Brian_SA Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Hi Lee Mun How do you read the state of charge? Do you use monitoring software? Or just the led lighting? I'm using software to monitor my 2x dyness unit and I cannot get the monitoring correct to see the correct SOC values.... I am not sure how the dyness comms work... Thanks for any advice. Quote
Mauritius B Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Usually the newest battery should be the master for dyness and pylon Quote
