Hello everyone !!
I found a very interesting offer for this Battery Charger in E-Bay that expires tomorrow. I would like to consult your opinion, if someone has it or if they have good comments of this brand and model:
http://www.midnitesolar.com/productPhoto.php?product_ID=621&productCatName=Charge Controllers - Classics&productCat_ID=21&sortOrder=1&act=p
Unfortunately this Model is only for Solar Energy, but the price seems very attractive to me.
Until tomorrow the offer is 482.95 US $ without shipping costs from a seller with impeccable E-Bay ratings.
Stay tuned to your comments...

Sorry. Edit to add the Link if you are interested in someone. The difference in u $ s is for a discount coupon ... :):

They are very highly rated on the US of A.

Best MPPT ever made :》 . The midnite kid is also awesome.

Hi @Energy You have one ? I am in doubt between this and Classic 150 that also serves for Hydro and Wind turbines. The Model 200 SL does not have arc fault or Ethernet capabilities. The list prices are not very different.

Hi again .

They have a great panel string calculator where you can size your classic needed.

Personally I would go for the 150 as it is packed with features,

If it is of any help we are able to procure all midnight kit at less 25% off the listed prices.

Shipping excluded. I would be happy to draw you up a cost if this is helpfull.

Sincerely

Jason

Many thanks Jay!
I should have missed the offer because I am not clear on the consequences on my system of placing a MPPT Charger in parallel with my Inverter. I am studying the subject, but unfortunately I do not find much information about it. Chri
s Hobson gave me the Link of a YouTube Video,  where a boy shows exactly the connection that I have in mind for my future expansion, this is 2 (two) MPP Solar in parallel (8 Kw Total) with a MidNite Classic 150, but the subject for me is a little less common since my inverter is of type Grid Connection with Back Up of batteries and possibility to inject surplus Of PV energy in the Grid.
The truth is that I want to inform myself a little more about the pros and cons of this type of connection. Maybe some of the members of this forum, sure 99% older than me, have been interested in making some connection like this.
What interests me even more about the MidNite 150 is the possibility, in the future, of adding a wind turbine to the system.

What you'd really be doing is having two chargers in parallel, which is usually not a problem as long as you don't inject unacceptable levels of ripple (MPPTs do inject tiny amounts of ripple), unacceptable in the sense that the rest of your equipment might not like it.

The only issues are usually that the control algorithm, the software the inverter uses to balance the PV generated power will not be aware of the extra incoming power and can't include it in the calculation (so it might not be able to properly calculate SoC, if it does coulomb counting), and that the charge controllers won't be synced (so one might sit in absorb while the other goes to float).

At least with the Vickies it's not a problem as long as you have the BMV installed and everything sits on the correct side of the shunt.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I have several doubts about how to do to know what would be the "unacceptable levels of ripple ...", "the software the inverter uses to balance the PV generated power will not be aware of the extra incoming power ..." and more...
Maybe someone already touched this topic in a specific way in another forum thread? To go directly there?
If someone remembers you, I would appreciate if you could send me the link. If this same subject had not been touched before, I will create a new thread.
