September 10, 20223 yr In a moment of stupidity and kackhandedness I removed my inverter from my "plant" on sems portal (this is very easy to do on the smartphone app, especially if you are not paying attention). So I need to re-add it because right now I can't see the graph. This makes me unhappy. I can get instantaneous figures using PV master, but this is not nearly as useful (and who has the time to monitor PV master all day). Now, there is a way, on the web site or via the app, to add an inverter to your . You can punch in the serial number and check code, or, if using the phone, scan the barcode on the inverter. So I do this, and I get told my inverter has been added to another plant and so I can't add it to my plant. Can anybody suggest a way to proceed here? I am guessing that the other plant may be the installer, but then how did I previously have access to the inverter via the portal?
September 11, 20223 yr Author The other plant was indeed my installer. There is a feature on SEMS that once you have access to an inverter, you may grant guest access to that inverter. So the installer has a whole bunch of "plants", and originally granted me access to my inverter. OK... the data isn't mine and mine alone. In this case I don't mind because the installer monitored a lot immediately after install, and generally has continued to provide advice, help and support down the line.
