Hi,

I have had this SS 5K installed for exactly a year now and have never had issues with its performance.

For the last month or so I have noticed that my SunSynk 5K, would show very strange values popping up on the portal (sometimes during the night).

The picture below shows the very unusual usage pattern.

The picture below shows what it looks like on a normal day.

Data Extract from SS website  Some sample from when it was reporting the problematic values.

This morning I noticed again that it was showing the strange high values and I decided to start eliminating circuits piece by piece to see if I can find the source.

1. I isolated the LOAD (ie tripped the load breaker), this made no difference and the values persisted on the portal as well as on the units display.

2. I then turned off everything on the non-essential side (geyser, oven, outbuilding etc), this also made no difference.

3. When terminating the grid feed to the inverter, the values drop to Zero (which I suspect is normal, as the grid is deemed lost). When returning power to the Inverter, the values shot straight backup.

4. Since I now removed all the essential and non-essential circuits from the inverter. I proceeded to power the unit down, and back up again. This too made no difference, the values went back up.

5. Out of desperation, I did a factory reset on the 5K and reconfigured it - this too made no difference, and the values popped right back to before the resets.

I then went to the Municipal Meter and noticed that the meter was turning backwards - VERY ODD. Turning the Inverter off, stopped the meter from turning, turning the Inverter on  - and the municipal meter started turning backwards again.  NOTE: The Unit is correctly configured with Zero Export, and the CT has been in place since initial installation and it has never done this before.

I am not sure what else to look at next. Has anyone else experienced something similar or have further suggestions on what I could look at. This is definitely not a website issue, as I see the same numbers on the Inverter display during the time of the issues.

Muchly Appreciated.

Hi @mzezman

No, nothing has changed. I've doublechecked each time I notice this happening. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes - other times it goes on for hours.

The system has been running perfectly fine for a year now. It just started doing this randomly in the last month or so.
