Hi All

I found this forum to be quite useful on previous questions I needed to be answered.

I have a 5kVa Growatt inverter with 4 X 545W Solar panels and one 4.8kWh Dyness Battery. The battery charges perfectly fine with the inverter through the grid and the system works. However, the solar panels are not picking up at all. No voltages and currents are showing and it stays on 0.1kWh for some reason and it does not show the solar symbol in the bottom left hand corner like it should. I've check my separate DC connection breakers and it shows power is coming in from the solar but nothing is showing on the inverter and there are no faults as well.

Please can someone assist. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Attached are pictures of the screen.

Thank you again.

Regards

Leeshan

I have heard and seen that sometimes the positive and negative on the panels are swopped around. measure the cables with a multimeter from the panels and refit the wires.

What solar panels are those exactly? What is their VOC?
Have you measured the voltage of your Panel string?  Use a multimeter to measure the Voltage at the MC4 connectors that go into the Inverter

Hi ... I have a growatt 2kva - 5 KVA off grid solar Inverter. It's been happily switching over from solar to utility as the sun rises and sets, and to battery as backup when needed. Today at noon, with good, hot sun...the solar suddenly switched off, and switched over to battery and then utility. I rebooted, but the solar panels simply don't appear on the inverter screen. Any idea what went wrong?
