Had my 8kW Deye Inverter installed, along with 2 Shoto 5.12kWh batteries and 10 540W Canadian solar panels. I am quite a new user.

I have a few issues:

1. Is it normal for one battery's SOC lights to be on while the other is not?

2. When I unplug the CAN cable on one of the batteries, the SOC refelecting on the inverter drops to 10%. This leads me to believe that one of the batteries is not charging? I did this because I got an alarm and my battery suddenly fell to 10% - then returned to 60% after I reset the batteries.

3. My house electricity consumption spikes when I unplug the CAN. It goes from 2kW to 13 kW (with the battery charing at 2kW balanced by a 2kW feed from the solar panels).

The high electrical consumption even occurs at other times. Even it I switch off all switches (except the main) at the DB board, the consumption remains at 13kW. This leads me to believe that the battery is drawing this power.

My inverter settings:

Limit to CT

Time of Use - 50% batt with grid charge ticked for all times of the day

Let me know if any other Info is needed.
