Posted January 2, 20232 yr Hi guys back again. Ok so in the end it looks like it will be best to get a 3 phase inverter as our house is 3 phase and it seems it will be to much effort and cost to convert it over. So I am looking into the 3 phase inverter options and would appreciate some input. I am looking at options between 8kw - 12kw As per my previous thread I would prefer a cheaper inverter and get extra battery and panels but I dont want to buy a complete piece of grabage. So the obvious best and most expensive options are Sunsynk Sun 8kW Three Phase LV Hybrid Inverter R43 929.00 Sunsynk Sun 10kW Three Phase LV Hybrid Inverter R50 204.00 Sunsynk 12kW 3 Phase Hybrid Inverter R60,950 Deye 12KW 3 Phase Hybrid Inverter R53,800 Then the cheaper options are Solis S5 8kW Dual MPPT 3-Phase Grid Tie Inverter R20,884 Solis S5 10.0kW Dual MPPT 3-Phase Grid Tie Inverter R22,145 Solis S5 12.0kW Dual MPPT 3-Phase Grid Tie Inverter R24,483 Solis S5 15.0kW Dual MPPT 3-Phase Grid Tie Inverter R25,993 Cant seem to find local supplier for any other Deye 3 phase. Did i miss any options? Does anybody have experience with they Solis as they seem to be allot cheaper. They also have 5 year standard warranty. The price difference between 8kW and 15kW also seems very low. I also cant seem to find Deye and Sunsynk 8kW or 10kW for 3 phase in local stores. It this point I am thinking either Sunsynk Sun 8kW or Solis S5 12.0kW Please let me know what you think
January 2, 20232 yr Be aware that the Solis inverters on this list are grid-tie inverters without inputs/outputs for a battery. Unlike the hybrid inverters, they need Eskom in order to run. Your other option could be to investigate 3 Axpert/Mecer/Kodak inverters or similar operating in 3 phase mode, one inverter per phase.

January 2, 20232 yr Author @SYC Could you elaborate? I got it here and it says three phase? https://www.solarspot.co.za/product/sunsynk-sun-8kw-three-phase-lv-hybrid-inverter/ @GreenFields Ah I see thanks Was initailly looking at 3 single phases but decided against it. Do you know of any other 3 phase that I should consider?
January 2, 20232 yr Author @SYCPage 12 also shows it with same code SUNSYNK-8K-SG04LP3 https://www.sunsynk.org/_files/ugd/52fa1b_32106885487e4054be6d3606e3367f0d.pdf

As far as know the only Sunsynk 3 phase machine available in SA is the 12kw and at some point soon the 50kw will be available 8 minutes ago, lavaland said: Do you know of any other 3 phase that I should consider? Infini solar also has a 3 phase

January 2, 20232 yr Don't also disqualify the new Infinisolar by Voltronics. It's light years ahead of the older versions & has good lithium battery compatibility exactly the same as it's Single phase cousins like the OG7.2 & OG10.0. in Pylontech, FreedomWon & a few others to make a few. They come in 12kW & 15kW 3 phase flavours & can phase share by up to 150% & this was the unfortunate problem of the older version. The newer version which is branded as Blue mountain energy sold by Segen Solar is really a quality machine & is also IP65 rated & has 2 AC output ports that can be programmed & controlled remotely to stop discharge at a specified % SoC as derived from the Battery BMS. The Solar charge controller is High Voltage & rated up to 1000V. It's also NRS approved so it can be installed even in Cape town 🤣
January 2, 20232 yr Having installed both type sof these inverters: Sunsynk/ Deye & Voltronics/ Infinisolar I would not hesitate to install either. It all depends on your budget & both manufacturers offer a 5yrs warranty as standard.
January 3, 20232 yr Author @Steve87 Thanks Steve appreacite the input. Will investigate the Infinisolar.
January 3, 20232 yr You won't find much info on the new Infinisolar machine but this is how she looks. It is sold locally through Segen Solar to which I am a sub supplier as an installer. In Australia & the US it's sold under the MPP Solar banner. This is how she looks. https://www.mppsolar.com/v3/lvx6048wp/
January 3, 20232 yr Author @Steve87 Ok but can I see prices and sizes somewhere? I dont see any prices on segensolar
January 3, 20232 yr Unfortunately the 15kW is not available & is sold out but the 12kW is in stock. I'll PM you details.
