My sunsynk 5kw has started to give an audible "click" noise when loadshedding starts. Does anyone else have this? Should I be concerned...?

Just to clarify.  Constantly clicking during loadshedding or just a single click when Eskom goes off?

That’s normal. There is a contactor inside that switches to isolate the grid connection from the inverter when there is no power from the grid. You are just hearing the contactor

Hi there. My 5kw inverter is making a constant click of the contactor, every 10 seconds or so. This has been happening for a few weeks now, and only during loadshedding. Has me a bit worried as I had a problem with the inverter previously which was repaired under warranty, but which dented my confidence somewhat. Not looking foward to the inverter going in for another month-long repair.

I have the same issue with the constant click. Does anyone know the reason for this and whether it needs repair by Sunsynk?

A constant click does not sound right to me, if it were my inverter I'd reach out to the installer and likely have it sent in for repairs.

With the constantly repeating click, check whether a neutral-earth bond relay has been installed and is working as it should...
