Hi, I have a 12kw 3p Sunsynk with SolarMD 14.4kw S4143 battery.

I'm struggling with the battery coming back online once completely discharged. It mostly recovers itself but again this morning it is refusing to charge.

The BMS is not connected, using AGM % with float & bulk set at 53.6v

I suspect it has not been setup properly by installer - I have turned it all off and on too but to no avail.

Error code with indicator light 2 on which indicates Error 16 on the battery (Under voltage sleep)

How do you wake it up?

Do you have to use the SolarMD logger to get the inverter & battery to communicate?

I have exact same battery, only on a 8KV Sunsynk. My settings are set to Lithium and using the CAN. Not had an ounce of problems in 6 months, including a situation recently where the SOC reached the shutdown level and the system shutdown and immediately restarted charging and reusing the battery once the PV and grid came back without any intervention
I think get your installer to install correctly. Can provide my setting values if you would like

Thanks @AndrewinPlett

So I have found that settings the battery cutoff to 48v has solved the slow recovery issue.

Do you have the SolarMD logger v2? (Is it needed to get the inverter & battery to communicate?)

No I don't have the SolarMD logger. But I do know the installer did connect a comms cable between the battery and inverter. Maybe confirm with your installer if they did this, or otherwise if you are brave here are my settings that are working for me

@AndrewinPlett and @Mark22, I have a 14.3 SolarMD batt connected to SMA.

I would like to keep the battery and replace inverter with Sunsynk.

Any of you gents perhaps close to Centurion Gauteng.

I would like to chat about your installation/installer

Thanks in advance

Frits
