According to the spec sheet, the VM 1000W Axpert can only charge at 20A from AC.

My 12V LiFePO4 batteries recommended charge rate is 50A.

Can I connect a 24V, 20A power supply to the PV-IN of my axpert to increase the total charge rate?

I wouldn't do it. The solar charge controller is expecting high impedance panels; a power supply is low impedance. So the MPPT would not be able to control the power flow.
