Posted January 15, 20232 yr So I'm thinking of upgrading my 1000w 12v lifepo4 system to a 3.6kw inverter 24v. Conundrums: 1) ideally I'd like a 5kva inverter however that requires me to double my battery bank and budget. In saying that are there any decent 5kva inverter that run off 24v or any clever work arounds? Get 50ah or 20ah batteries to make up the 48v bank? 2)which 3.6kva inverter would go for? So far it seems it's between Kodak 3.6 (max or VMII) or the Axpert. Where could I get a straight up vanilla axpert? I see there are quite a few rebrands. Many thanks Edited January 17, 20232 yr by sunset1

I must say the whole support system that SegenSolar built around the Kodak brand stands out for me. The Kodak 3.6 will be my choice, good quality, solid technology. The VM is cheaper but id rather spend the extra bucks for quality. For instance the VM3 fan has one speed, noisy, while the max has PWM speed control on the fans. And with the Axpert /Kodak you will enjoy additional community support because there a lot of knowledge on this in this forum.
January 16, 20232 yr Author Thanks for this. I could be wrong but I think the MAX can also run with no battery - sort of like a hybrid. So I guess it blends solar and grid?
