Just a quick question.

Do any of you guys got experience with these Volta 5.12kWh Lithium-ion Battery, are they any good, short comings, any review would be great - I need more info as to should i invest in buying some - want to use it with a Deye 5KW Hybrid Inverter.

I have search for some reviews but no such luck.....

Still no real info out there. I'm also reluctant to pull the trigger without knowing anything about it besides some "claimed" specs.

No website either. Feels like a big gamble when it comes to longevity, returns and support?

Installed for a month now. All good, no complaints so far. Hoping for the best got 2 of them running with DEYE 8 KW inverter and 8 Canadian 540's on the roof

Are you batteries still performing well?

Anyone else have some feedback on these batteries and does anyone know who brings them in?

I have two 5kWh Volta batteries installed for little over 2 months now. Other than some config and setup issues on my inverter, the batteries seem to be performing well so far.

But this is feedback I give as a simple end user. If there is anything specific you would like to know, let me know.

Hi,

Do you get the said kWh as stated?

Can you please help me with the configuration between the Volta battery and Deye inverter?

We have 2 Volta Stage 1s with a Deye inverter, installed 3 weeks ago on the installers recommendation. So far all seems good but it's early days so 🤞. I never set up the Comms so can't comment there. Also from the perspective of an end user.

I have one Volta Stage 3 and a 8kw Deye inverter. Installed 2 weeks ago and is performing as expected. No issues sofar. It is rated as a .75C. With heavy appliances such as a geyser, microwave and kettle all on at the same time with no solar or grid works fine.

Good afternoon Koerant

Can perhaps tell me what was your config issues?

Hi - I have a Deye 8 KW inverter with 1 Volta Stage 1 battery installed for a month - no issues - I now want to add a second. Is it advisable to do this myself? And if so, how (total noob) Would that be in parallel from the master? Does it need its own fuse box? And comms cable or is the comms cable from primary sufficient?

Shouldn't be a problem - they just need to be the same battery type and capacity. It shouldn't need its own fuse box and generally you would run another comms cable from the old one to the new one. Not sure how Volts specify doing this but other manufacturers will detail how to parallel

Have mine installed for almost 4 months no issues yet

obviously you shouldn’t drain it to zero

if I can reccomend buy the stage 2 or get 2 x stage 1

one is just not sufficient

I have 2 Volta Stage 1 batteries. Looks good, and priced right, but the backup support is terrible.  Also no DC cut-off switch on battery, so you have to fit your own.

Herman Brink, one of the 2 brother owners of Solar Europe Importers, is an real egoistic A-hole who thinks he's the smartest man alive.   I mean, who puts together a communications manual like they have ?

Non-existent link to download the communication software,

@Jeppe Trying to decide the same. Both of these are reasonably priced. I am looking at pairing with a Deye inverter, which with the Volta it then comes with the extended warranty, but I am not sure if it is a marketing gimmick. I am skeptical that the installer would still be around in 10 years' time and in that event, does Volta have local representation to honour the warranty?

Using a Deye 8k with 2x Volta 1. Just added a third. Performance so far has been great. It has been 4 months and no issues so far. Easily runs an induction hob plus oven plus heat pump water heater through loadshedding.
