Posted January 17, 20232 yr Hi everyone. I have this inverter, it's a VM II clone. First problem is I can't set the Utility first mode, when I select it goes to SNU immediately. Solar first and Solar Only modes can be set without issue. The main problem with SNU mode that isn't charging the battery with the configured current when solar voltage is above minimum MPPT voltage which is 90V (02 and 16 both sat to 20A). For example if I disconnect PV side it's charging with utility and at 20A as I configured but with PV it's only 6-8A (cloudy day, PV generation is low, like 1A max). We are in a complicated situation in Ukraine, there are power outages frequently (scheduled and emergency) so I want to extend my battery time with solar power and to quickly charge batteries when utility back on but I have to manually turn off solar panels to achieve maximum charging. I searched the forum and I see similar problems. I tried 01=USB and 16=SNU settings but works same. Then I bumped up parameter 11 to max (60) and left 02 on 20A and the charging went to 10ish "high". Tried to increase param 02 to 30A but nothing happened. I don't understand, it's only charging normally when PV is not presented. Do you have any suggestions? I have an SMX too which has other problems, we can buy only cheap inverters because normal ones are very expensive in here and I don't want to spend more.
January 17, 20232 yr I have no knowledge of this equipment, and thus no answers, but I'm replying here to try and push the OP up the hit parade a bit. I do this in the hope that somebody with the answers will be able to provide them. @SuBis in a war zone, and can do with any help that can be given.

Thanks for the concern but fortunately we live in a peaceful region of West Ukraine, we only feel the negative effects of the war (for now). As I see there is no way to read the firmware for backup without JTAG.
January 25, 20232 yr Author Sorry to bump up the topic but I still have the problem. Today we got 2x 6 hours outages and 2 hours electicity, unfortunately we have little sunshine and when the electricity came back it is charging max at 10A. Is it software problem? What do you think?
