Posted January 17, 20232 yr Hello there, my datalogger is offline once every week sometimes once every two weeks for a couple of hours. Today it's been offline since about 10:15 yesterday 16 Jan, it's now 17 Jan 08:05 and it's still offline. What would appear to be the issue please?
January 18, 20232 yr I have two Sunsynk 8kW units. The logger for the Master went down Monday 16 Jan at 07:10 and nothing I have tried had managed to bring it back online. The logger for the Slave contributes to work. Both units worked per perfectly until Monday. I have contacted Sunsynk but have had no response from them at all. I can't believe that it's pure coincidence that two users loggers both 'died' at the same time on the same day. Perhaps it's the latest firmware update pushed out by Sunsynk? Has anybody been able to revive their loggers? How do I institute a warranty claim with Sunsynk? Edited January 18, 20232 yr by Tegra Cellphone typing issues
January 18, 20232 yr Hi, I'm referring to the Sunsynk Logger (dongle) as depicted in the image on the left. Not the one with the antennae and RS232 cable. I can connect to the unit and set its Wi-Fi but it remains 'initializing' with the Cloud. Never connected. Only the green light remains lit.

I have got exactly the same issue - only the green light is on. I can connect with WiFi but cant access it. I called Heroldts but they are not aware of this issue. I'm glad i'm not the only one with this issue
January 18, 20232 yr I'm not sure if it works the same way, but I have the RS232 version that one can log into the dongle directly via a web browser and configure the wifi connection from its own UI. You'd only need to find its IP address on your network, or perhaps the default IP address of it...

The Manual gives step by step instructions, and it doesn't work.
January 18, 20232 yr The dongle I have is the Sunsynk wifi version with no RJ45 LAN connection. I can find the logger via 10.10.10.1 via a browser, and also it's IP and MAC address on my network by using Angry IP Scanner. The crazy thing is that the faulty logger seems to be occupying two IP addresses at the same time (192.168.5.195 and 192.168.5.252 both with the same MAC). The functioning logger only has one IP address (192.168.5.251). As per Sunsynk's advice I have tried swapping the loggers around on the slave and master inverters and the failure has now been caused to happen on the remaining functional logger. I now have two kaput loggers. Anybody out there who can tell me how to institute a warranty claim with Sunsynk? The faulty loggers is just over three months old. I fully suspect that the new firmware that was installed about a week ago has somehow corrupted the loggers via the Master inverter. Edited January 18, 20232 yr by Tegra further information
January 18, 20232 yr My logger has also gone off with only the green light on. So frustrating. Anyone able to come right?

Sengen e-mailed me a form to complete which I returned. Then they sent a courier to collect the faulty dongle for testing and probable repair/replacement/refund.

I think I may have resolved it now as I have now beat my previous record of 36 hours uptime. This is what I did(from my mobile phone) 1.Connect direct to the logger via wifi. Allow connection without Internet access when propmpted 2. Enter 10.10.100.254 username admin password admin 3. Reset the logger 4. Run the Wizard and scan the available networks, select your intended connection network and take note of the channel that your Internet router is using. Click next https://pro-cs.udeskcs.com/ticket_reply/tid30244/wifi data logger configuration_1716443478164_2pwz5z.pdf?Expires=1747979482&OSSAccessKeyId=bPexlr6MCcadDhfu&Signature=lE0c3%2FZ84M75JHVPm3p0C6nm8EI%3D 5. Enter the password to your Internet router and select " Enable" for automatic IP address 6. Click next, then OK on next screen 7. Logger will restart. Connect again to logger and Log in to 10.10.100.254 8. Under "Status">"Remote and server Information" , server A should now say connected. The left green light on your logger should be constantly green. 9. If 8 has worked then log onto your wifi router. Find where to change the Channel as observed in point 4 above. By default the router says Auto but now change to the channel where a working connection was possible. 10. Change IP address obtain to "Disabled" 11. You may need to connect once more to logger directly and then select restart(not reset). Wait a minute or two for connection to be re-establushed. Confirm with green light on logger or step 8 above. All the best!
