skala
There are a number of "battery type" settings, one being "use". What is this? Also setting for "ternary lithium battery"? It seems that this inverter has a default setting for lead acid battery. I am using GEL but the battery lockdown voltage is just over 22.3v, which is too high for GEL. Would it have a better effect if I change "battery type" setting to lithium?

This is where you can change settings like bulk, float, and cut-off voltages. USE is the three letter abbreviation for "user". 43 minutes ago, skala said: I am using GEL but the battery lockdown voltage is just over 22.3v, which is too high for GEL. We have disagreed over this already, I believe. 43 minutes ago, skala said: Would it have a better effect if I change "battery type" setting to lithium? No, all the lithium battery types likely require a protocol, and your gel battery presumably doesn't have an RJ-45 socket to talk to an internal BMS. A lot will be easier if we just accept AGM, Gel even in deep cycle are still lead acid and discharge levels need to be adhered to to get more than 9 months life out of them. skala
thanks guys, appreciate your explanations. Yes, as Coulomb earlier stated, view GEL as lead acid and I accept that. Also assumed "use" mean user, but what does that mean? Do I then create my own battery settings?

Yes user does imply the user decides what custom settings are applicable.

It unlocks the battery voltage settings that I mentioned, which would otherwise not be available, as they are automatically chosen based on the FLD (Flooded) or AGM battery type value.
