Scorp007 Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 After reading this I wondered how many of you guys dispose of something out of warranty. For me it is a waste of good money we work hard for. https://techxplore.com/news/2023-03-solar-industry-disposal-million-panels.html BritishRacingGreen 1 Quote
BritishRacingGreen Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) Any end-of-life legislation will need to address existing and new panels and support the creation of a second-hand economy, Prof Majewski says. There are so many valuables that gets decommisioned and disposed of by companies and authorities. Example, company that repair Axpert inverters only do so on board level. So an otherwise good board that has a small defect are disposed of. And their policy is strict, it needs toi be crushed and disposed of, they wont let you have it because of some kind of liability they have if you get injured because if it, or it fails ungracefully. They want no trace. Edited March 26, 2023 by BritishRacingGreen Scorp007 1 Quote
